week wrap up and rewind

I'm wiped out, oh man. I have to give my last 2 days a backstory: My dad is really taking care of Cade (and the other kids, but Cade is the one who is into it most) as far as their music education. Cade is doing really well. My dad took Cade over the winter break to spend tme in Thatcher and work on music for a concert. Well the concert was last night in Thatcher. On a week night. SUCKY! I'm really appreciative of all my dad does (countless hours spent, he gets them all their instruments, music etc. its a lot) so I have to put forward some too, so I agree to get the kids out of school at noon and drive them the 2 1/2 hours to Thatcher for Cade to be in the concert. The plan was to do the concert and then a quick sleep at my parents and get on the road by 5:45am to get home. It started out fine, we got there, Cade on stage playing mandolin and harmonizing with my dad was SO cute!!! I was really really proud of him. He gets to play with some really taleted musicians. So we slept at my parents and the plan was to leave REALLY early and try to get the kds to school by 8:30 am, and get Mark picked up at work (faaaaar away) by 9 and then go pick up his car. Yeah, that didn't really happen. I left early, a little later than I wanted but I had stayed up talking with my mom till 2 and things this morning just didn't go that smooth and it all got fudged up. Marks car wasn't ready like they said it would be (mechanics!!!!!!!) and the kids got to school late(more like 10am) and Sadie had another of her classic stomachaches. I came home and got 2 hours of crappy sleep so now I'm beat. All for nothing, too, because the car won't even be ready till monday. I know, we really had them on a tight schedule, they only had 6 WEEKS to get it done, and 3 days warning we were coming to get it today. Grrrr! The boys are all wound up now and I think I'm gonna put Cade in charge of putting on a movie and I'm gonna crash. I did manage to make a yummy dinner and some no bake cheesecake (YIKES) I think I'm PMSing. Mark is at work so I'm gonna go lay in bed with all the shows I missed over the last couple days. I think if I can sleep in tomorrow really good, then go workout and get some extra chores done with the boys, I'll be back on top by Sunday.
