Final Countdown

So far day 1 of the final meltdown is going well. I had a killer w/o today, I got a compliment from a guy at the gym on my arms, and eating is right on. I've already put down my gallon of water today...and its only 2:30! WOOT! I am VERY ready to do this. This is in project status!! I took most of last week not off, but I relaxed a bit on eating, I was at about 75% good, and I just laid low on weights, didn't really push it. I did 5 days of Cardio. Well, I am totally recharged now and ready for the big push! Anticipating having to do pictures motivates me during the week, especially as the week winds down and I kind of start to waver, so I may have to plan pictures weekly. Yikes! That'll keep me in line. I'm going to buy my own scale today, too. Just because. The one at the gym is funky and I don't trust it. My actual weight goal for this 4 week leandown is 133 pounds. thats about 5-10 pounds depending on which funky scale I'm checking. My BF goal is 19%, which means I need to shed about 6%. Compared to T, I'm a lightweight, huh? Oh yeah, you just wait....My cruise challenge starts in March, then you'll see it! LOL

For the next 4 weeks, I'm doing 45 minute low int.crdio 6 days per week. (HIIT again after the 4 weeks is up..just need a break)and 3 days of weights, hitting it good and solid. THe diet is whats really coming into play here...I'm gonna nail it!! YES!Thats it! I am the HAMMER, not the nail!!LOL I love it. I'm all IN!!

Weekend report

What a fun weekend!!! Everyone was chipper, we had a great time. Kids had a blast. I always have fun with my parents, and at church I heard my dad play a beautiful violin duet and my brother sing, and I was totally floored! I hadn't heard him sing in a while, and I'm not just saying this, he is AWESOME!!!He had a solo part in a little song he sang with 4 other guys.

TMI paragraph.........colonic report :D I guess I'm happy to report that I am now clean as a whistle, inside and out, literally!!! LOL Really, I have no digestive troubles, but my step mom has MAJOR digestion issues, and has been raving about his lady. So I go. First of all, her name is Janelle, and this lady is quite a character. I really liked her, but LOL imagine a 300 pound woman in head to toe rainbow tie-dye knit. No makeup, and a ponytail/bun on top of her head. And her house matched her. It was a riot. Mark was there for "moral support". I have to say the whole thing was quite uneventful. My bowels were already pretty clean. No blockages, no parasites, nothing. I think Mark was dissapointed. hehe. He'd been singing "boogie in your butt" to me all weekend. Yes, I know, so charming LOL. She just put this tube thng up my butt and attached it to a hose and literally flushed me out. She massaged my lower stomach the whole time. It was slightly unpleasant. I probably won't do it again, just because I don't really need to. Its nice to know everything is working well in the basement, though. Hehe. Plumbing is in order. Boy I bet this lady has some stories, some of which she shared. It was funny.

My nephew is such a little DOLL!! He loves me and let me hold him and fell asleep on me a couple times. What can I say, I have the magic touch! LOL My brother and his wife are moving down to the valley near us, I am so glad so I can play with the baby and watch him grow up. And then I can give him back to his parents when I'm tired of him and they can take care of him. Hahaha. Love the baby, but I'm NOT interested in one full time. Not that it woud matter, this baby shop is CLOSED permanently. :D No regrets. :D

I'll have to put up pics tomorrow..Blogger is not working tonight.

Fitness gab tomorrow, too! :D

Its a wild, wild world

I was just about to post something else when I looked out the window and this is what I see.....

This has been one of those days where I felt like I am raising a pack of wild animals! These two are a lot like twins, they can really act out their miscevious ideas, mainly because its so much more fun to have a buddy to be naughty with. AAHHHH! Today has been so crazy, high anxiety, one of my classic 150 mph Martha days. But guess what?? I'm ahead of schedule! :) You know how happy that could make me.

We are going to Thatcher (AZ) to visit my family, my brother is blessing his baby on Sunday. Should be fun. I'm gonna get a real colonic! Why?, you might ask?? Hell if I know!!! My step-mom has been raving about this gal who does them there (named Janelle, funnily enough) but I guess she has quite the celebrity client list. So I guess I for some reason decided to try this out, I am getting nervous though. A plastic tube shoved up my booty is not appealing at this point in time. Uh, oh, stomach is flip flopping, sweating,,,,,,,

As far as my fitness junk is going, well, I am on a pinball machine over it right now. I've gotten some great compliments and inspiration over the last couple days (thanks so much, guys!!)but yet I still doubt myself. Its the last 4 weeks. Its the moment of truth. Will I TRIUMPH or TANK??? Its moment to moment right now. I know I can, I just have to tell 'Jamber' to kick 'Janel' to the curb and DO IT!!! I will not quit!!! Its exciting and scary! My family looks to me for inspiration, I have to show them this weekend that I am worthy of that. Being around them will help. Thats it, the cardio will happen tonight!!! And tomorrow I will get in a HIIT (just because I won't have time for more than that) I'm gonna get to work!!!

FYI

As the kids were piling in the car after school there was a round of name calling. Upon hearing my 3rd grader called a 'jerk' I was surprised to hear a big "Thank You". THen he returned with a " Well, your'e COOL" and this was apparently not good. I was promptly brought up to speed on the new lingo. I thought I'd pass the info along so nobody would be caught feelig stupid should one of these terms be used to describe YOU. :)

"JERK"

Junior Educated Rich Kid

"COOL"

Constipated Overweighted Out-of style Loser

HAHAHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHa

So now you have been educated. Good thing our kids go to school to keep us informed about all this stuff, huh?? LOL

The last 5 weeks

I have decided to really try to lean down for the rest of the challenge. I have a few weeks and I have a plan, so I will keep posting on how it is going. So far I have managed to build up a bunch of muscle but its all drowning in FAT. I have to shrink this down, or I will go insane. I am very excited about really getting after it and being sucessful at this. I am sooo ready!!! This big butt is just really depressing me. A lot. Here are some pics I took last night so I have a clear starting point. I took some of my lower half too, but I am too embarassed to post them right now. Its bad. It hurt to look at them. But it does fuel my fire to succeed, so I guess that is good. How can I work so hard and make some progress but still be so dissapointed in the way I look?? It's sucky. But I'll figure it out. :D

Just for the record I am not too thrilled with how this looks. It seems better in real life! :(

one year ago today.....

We were in Vegas having a great time! I just realized it was the 1 year anniversary so as I was getting ready to go out with some friends tonight I decided to wear the same jacket and take a picture to compare. Pretty sweet.

LAST YEAR:

My scary diet

I decided to post my diet for you to see. I didn't change anything up because I knew I was gonna post it, this is very typical. I mean, I can look at it and see what is wrong, but I need some other opinions. So give it to me straight. You can sugar coat it if you want to though, that sounds yummy :P

8:30 am 1 egg+2whites over easy
1 pc ezekiel bread

1 pm cottage cheese
2/3 C mandarin oranges

3:30 pm 2 pc string cheese
1/2 smashed hershey kiss
1 small apple
1 T. nat. PB

6 pm 1/2 c. shredded cheese
2/3 c. mandarin oranges
protein shake w/ 1 c. skim milk

7 pm 2 tater tots

9:30 pm portion size of broiled salmon
huge spring mix salad w/ grape tomatoes, 1 T. feta cheese
2 T. lite newmans dresing

I drank just under a gallon, mabye 8 oz shy.

Its not that bad, right?? OK the tater tots the hershey kiss need to go I don't know what possesed me there, and I know that a HALF a kiss sounds wierd, but it was literally smashed flat as a quarter and I could only get the wrapper off of half of it. I sound like a psycho. LOL I don't know the cal count, I just don't feel like figuring it out. My typical attitude is this. I don't feel like figuring it out, its not likely over 1700 so I'm probably good. :P Yeah, thats a real recipe for success, huh? Anyway, give it your best evaluation and report back, PLEASE?? I really do need some help here.

Something so crazy.....

I posted once about Cade's baseball team from hell and how they totally embarassed me by trying to make me look bad by saying I didn't contribute to the team financially and just all around treated us bad?? Well, payback's a bitch.

I just happened to catch a news report that they are looking for this guy posing as a federal air marshall(hey, he had the shirt and badge...why would we doubt??). YUP its our coach. and yup, NOT a Federal air marshall. Appaerently he'd been assuming his sons identity(never woud've guessed he was over 50 years old) and his SON is an Air marshall but he is NOT. He'd been using his gun and badge to give out tresspasing citations and "keep peace" in his apartment complex and someone must have gotten suspicious. His face, name and vehicle are plastered all over the local news. Gee, I was embarrased that 10 parents thought I might be cheapskate, hows that for some humiliation. hehehe siiiigh. These moments are so rare.

Sending out an SOS

Alrighty now go back and sing that title how you know it goes.....

Is this the 7 week itch?? I have had a bit of a rough-ish week. Workouts are killer, no doubt. I'm very sore every day. I hit those back muscles between my shoulder blades, bring on the butterfly, baby!! I've gone further in my cardio than ever. I've done a little extra, but not too much. All good. Heres the deal-ee-o, though.

I just feel "off". My weight just seems sooooooo stuck! This is about the worst plateau I've ever faced. I've lost a measly 4 pounds in almost 7 weeks. That is pathetic. How much is there to the "eat more to lose more" theory?? I guess I'm afraid to try it out and experiment. I've read BFFM, I have read it a couple times. I guess I am confused, between Tom Venuto and Hussman. Hussman is all about the deficit, but BFFM seems more about more cardio. I would do more cardio, but I am afraid that my knees will not hold up for it, let alone my shins. Which brings me to my next dilemma.

I feel like if I am not running I am not working hard enough. I really hate the elliptical. The bike is out of the question. I REALLY hate that. Should I change it up to the elliptical?? I do remember Cheryl Muhr saying that if it was the thing she didn't want to do she hit it the hardest. Mabye I need to do that.

Its like I am so confused on what is best for me I just keep hardly eating and running and lifting hard, even though I need to change some things. My veggie intake is WAY low. I haven't had chicken since monday. I haven't had a clean veggie since, um, last week sometime. I've eaten clean, but its been egg whites and protein powder and string cheese and apples. No wonder I caved to some chocolate cake tonight. I feel like crap about that. I wouldn't call it a binge but obviously, not OK. Then Mark brought home a big thing of ice cream and lofthouse cookies. Don't worry, though, the cake did my poor guilt in and theres no WAY I'm bending to that. To my credit, though, I was REQUIRED by MARK to HAND DIP almonds in melted chocolate, and bake and frost 2 chocolate cakes tonight. Sorry, but I'm gonna lick my fingers. I'm not DEAD~ LOL With all that I didn't do too bad, and I hope I haven't opened a door to a place i don't want to visit..."Offthewagonsville" Nope, NOT going there. I just need to clear the fog and confusion in my brain right now. SO many things I could change, where do I start??

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Ahhhhhh, the visitors are gone, kids are back to school, normal life commences. While I was out in the kitchen fixing Mark his breakfast(yes, I do that)he put this little som'n som'n on my side of the bed.

What a HOT valentines gift, huh??? Too bad he had to go to work, all I could do was model them, but man does it make my legs look better. BIG difference. Now I really need a pole. My stripper song would definetly be "Cherry Pie" by Warrant. ROFL!!!! Pictures willl be taken in these from now on, I don't care how slutty it looks. ;) The Tracker webmaster is gonna have to put together an R-rated Profile section just for me now! ROFL. Anybody dare me to wear them out to dinner with a pair of jeans and a sexy top?? LOL I've seen it done, but I don't have the guts. Mabye on the cruise! LOL I hope everybody has a GREAT Valentines day!!

Busy busy weekend

I have the craziest weekend going on. Its fun though. Marks sister in law and niece are visiting from Panama and his brother and SIL came down from Utah to visit her(and us)with their 4 kiddos. It has been sooooo fun. The kids are having a ball. And I love getting together with my SIL's. Today I took my free day but tomorrow is going to be tough. I'm gonna eat on plan all day, but we're gong to dinner at some extended family's and it gonna be chicken enchiladas. The plan is to eat before I go, drink tons of water while I'm there, then try to just eat salad(which I am bringing so I know whats in it :) Dessert is angel food cake with lite whipped cream and fresh berries, so I may have some of that. Tonight all the adults went to Olive Garden, and lets just say, well, lets just not say. LOL No, I stuffed my face with salad and bread then split an entree, so whatever, its free day. I feel very satisfied. :D

I was feeling like taking pictures at the halfway point today, but I just didn't have the time, and last time I did that it was pretty anti-climatic so its better anyway. I feel like I've kind of been bulking without trying. I did go down .4 in BF%(hey, down is down, right?) and I lost 1 pound, which is good considering on friday I had 2 'clean' restaurant meals so I feel good about that. My thigh mesurement has gone UP 2 weeks in a row, which is alarming but not too shocking. I can literally see the muscles are much bigger just since 2 weeks ago. And the cheese on my thighs is much more gelatinous, so hopefully it will just wiggle its way off soon. I was a little discouraged this morning, I jsut wish things were progressing faster. Then I managed to go farther in my HIIT than I ever have...2.13 miles!! I was pleased with that. My goal has always been 2.25 so its getting closer. But honestly, I feel like I can't do better than I have been doing. I can't eat less, I can't eat more. I can't workout better, I mean, I am truly giving this my best shot. So thats how I consoled myself. The only thing "more" I could do is to start weighing food and I am not willing to do that yet. If I don't have a substantial drop in something here soon I may have to change that but for now, I am doing portions of clean food and not getting crazy with it.

HALFWAY!!!! That is so exciting!!

So its my second post today...SO????

I was gonna do a nice 3 miler on the treadmill after I did my UBWO today. I have great new tunes on my MP3 and I was a half mile into it, when the childcare girl came out and got me because apparently Dayton had a poo explosion. SHIT!! LOL But I was still determined to get a good cardio session in today. So when Mark got home from work I got him to take me out to the park at the end of the street and this is what I did(taken directly from MM magazine)

Guerilla Cardio
20 secs sprint
10 sec rest
20 sec sprint
10 sec rest

20 sec jumprope
10 sec rest
20 sec jumprope
10 sec rest

20 sec squat jumps
10 sec rest
20 sec squat jumps
10 sec rest

Repeat 2 more times

I did it!!! It was VERY tough!! But it felt awesome (afterwards)I think Mark was proud of me for being able to do the whole thing period. Funnily enough, the jumproping was the most "resting". 10 seconds between is barely enough to catch a half-breath. I was like "good, its the jumproping part." How messed up is that? LOL It was very tiring, but just what I needed tonight. This may become a wednsday "thing", we will see.

Challenge post

It kind of seems like I haven't been posting about my BFL stuff lately. I guess I just don't want to bore everybody with "yay, another killer workout" amd "eating was right on today". But don't get me wrong, I like to know who is on track out there and who is struggling, I just bore myself sometimes. So I post pictures of myself in my panties. LOL

You all know I'm going on the cruise, can I just tell you how unbelievably excited I am and how much its keeping me focused???? And I will have the chance to squeeze one more full challenge in before the cruise. Of course, I havn't asked my mom and sisters to babysit yet, I'm not sure how that is going to go. It could be OK but I get nervous. I have to pick my moment. Now that is all Im going to say about it. Its just gonna be fantastic.

Fitness stuff: Going well. I've had a couple minor diet infractions(i.e. 1 tiny bite of sugar cookie, 1 extra TBL. nat peanut butter, 1 grahm cracker folded in half with jelly) this week, I think its OK. Monday night Mark and I went out in the garage and did a heavy bag workout, I punched the crap out of that thing. It was fun, but my forearms are still feeling it. We did a few different punching things and I did 20 good mornings. Today is UBWO, but I am gonna do an extra 45 min moderate cardio afterwards. That will be 2 extras this week. I'm going for 4 extra cardio sessions this week to try to break this stupid plateau. And the rest of the week will be squeaky clean, and I've upped my water to 1.5 gals a day. I have had at least 2-3 body parts be sore since I started on jan 2 at all times. Its getting old. My body HURTS, but its a good muscle building hurt. I just want to feel strong and not sore for once. Well, not gonna happen.

Food stuff: I mde the YUMMIEST chicken yesterday, I baked B/S breasts covered in foil with 1 squeezed lemon and then I stuck some whole slices and sliced 2 big garlic cloves and salt and pepper. WOWZERS it was so good. Can't wait to have leftovers later today. I had it with a baked plain sweet potato and I was in heaven. Today I'm gonna put some steamed broccoli with it. Last weekend I got some ON protein powder to try, I got the chocolate and vanilla ice cream flavors. Mark loves the vanilla but he has it with 2% milk, I have only used water but if I used fat free milk wouldn't that just make it a full meal? I need to try it anyway. I had the choc one made with water and a half of a small banana(I know, I'll probably go to hell now) but it was very tasty. Unfortunatly I'm having a "hungry" week.

I was thinking about a couple of people that are not around on tracker anymore. What happned to Eve (musclemommy/froglette) and Marathon2??? Anybody know??

I heard the BP radio show... it was pretty boring. Mainly because he seemed nervous (needed to be more scripted?)and the callers they put through were snoozers. I actually tried to call a couple times but it wouldn't go through. Just 1-2 rings then nothing. I think it has potential though. We'll see. Mabye he needs a co-anchor. I'm definetly available! :D

This is for DG :)

For some reason the lighting makes all my foot bones look like I have skeleton feet. Ew, wierd. Well, at least something on my body is skinny. But this is the basic idea. I like 'em! It was worth the extra time. :D

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE BODY IN THE PANTIES

I would consider wearing these all the time, thats how comfy they are. They are one size fits all.

Lets try again

Stupid blogger erased my week update post, too bad I thought it was pretty good. But I don't feel like trying to duplicate it so I'l just give a quickie rundown.I'm happy, but not happy.

The good:
Waist down 1/2 inch
BF% down fron 26.8 to 25.8
Looking better, more muscle in my legs
Hit all workouts, great week of eating, no cheats

The stupid:
scale says I'm still 143
which is up 3 pounds since week 4.
WHY WHY WHY???

If the deficit is there 2 weeks in a row, isn't it some law of physics that the weight has to drop or something?? I've been working sooo hard! I've been sooo good! Damn near perfect! I've even counted the cals to double check. So this week I'm gonna do 2-3 extra cardio sessions and continue to eat VERY clean. I took a free afternoon yesterday, and a mini free afternoon today. I am ready to tackle week 6. Well If I can walk, that is.........

Which brings me to the weekend activities. I went on a hike/climb on saturday morning with Dana and our other buddy Maricar(cappie2)and lemme tell ya, it was an experience!! It was sooo awesome and fun! GORGEOUS morning, we got there and its a mile and a quarter of hiking up boulders and paths up to the top of Camelback mountain. All these years I've lived here and heard about it but I'd never done it before. Some parts are REALLY steep and there are handrails installed to help you climb up because it is so steep. Some parts are just all boulders and you have to use your hands to climb up. But boy is it worth it.

http://www.caliberdt.com/~bill/Arizona/EchoCanyon.htm

It took us about 45 minutes, just kind of goin normal speed, if I pushed I think I could do it in 35 or so. Yeah, this guy got to the top while we were resting up there and had just done it in 26 minutes(he hikes it everyday). That is insane!!! Its cool becuase its easy enough that my bigger kids could do it(it'd just take a while) but you could also make it a kick ass workout. Then you have to get down, which is pretty tough as well. Today my calves are KILLING ME!!!! I'm serious, I can barely walk, and lifting my heels up off the floor is out of the question. I'm gonna have to switch up my week schedule, since LBWO is scheduled and theres NO WAY. We'll see how I am in the morning, I may be able to do it but just skip the calf exercises. Mabye.

I'm Bored

Your Stripper Song Is

Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot

"So Cosmo says you're fat
Well I ain't down with that!
'Cause your waist is small and your curves are kickin'"

You've got a boomin' body, and you're not afraid to show it off.

Friday slump

Siiiiggggghhhhhhh. Just so blah this week. Ive gotten all my workouts great, I can still barely walk today after wednsdays LBWO, I'm a hurtin' unit. Then last night during undisclosed activites I wrenched my neck pretty bad. Normally I would be giggling because that is kind of funny but I just lack the energy. This is the first day in the challenge I have not felt like ripping up the gym. I did a couple pushups to test out my neck after I iced it and I think I can still work out, and the kids want to go. Mabye it will perk me up. I'm freezing cold (as usual) and the house is a mess. I just want to curl up all alone with some take-out and an ice pack on my neck and watch TV all day. But, um, yeah that is not gonna happen. This is what will happen.....I'm gonna change and go to the gym, take Coop to school, go to the Chiropractor, come home and crash, then get the house put back together after I get the kids from school. It literally is killing me to bend down and pick thngs up aff the ground. I cannot believe how sore I still am!!! This is like C1 WK1 sore!!

One other bothersome thing is that I have this friend I'd been writing in Iraq and he dropped off the face of the earth and I'm getting slightly worried. I could be any number of reasons but its just got me on edge. I know, I'm probably being juvenile but it just dosn't sit right. :(

Anyway, I hate to be a downer but its midchallenge, and its a long road. I'm gonna make it though.

The long haul

Man I just feel like this challenge is going forever. Like I've been dong this forever and theres no end in sight. I was hungry yesterday and I made a decision to have a can of chunky soup for lunch. After reading the label I decided it wasnt' the worst choice (340 cls, 20g protein,LF,moderate sodium) and I just went for it. Later after tallying cals fot the day though I realized I shoudn't have done it. At M4 I was already to 1500 for the day. So I stopped. Today will definetly be mapped out better. And I may need to go for a run tonight.

On the exercise front we have some dreaded exitement. The ever-important switch-up. LB day always wiped me out, just the muscle repair that day almost forces me to take a nap. I just try to allow for it. I will be doing squats today for the first time in months. Too bad because I feel like the one-legged lunges i"ve been dong were really lifting my butt. Oh well I know walking lunges have their benefits as well. They work my quads a little more, and I really need to improve my quads.

So heres my schedule today...
Pick up house and feed kids till 9(Cooper homework)
GYm 9:30-10:30
Pick up house and feed kids till 11:30
11:30 Cooper to school
11:45-1 housework, play with kids, get ready for scouts
(we're making invites to day for a thing in Feb)
Grocery store
1-2:30 take nap
2:40 pick up kids
Pick up house and feed kids/homework till 4
Scouts 4-5
Dinner
baths
(I would like to go running in this timeslot somewhere)
bed

SO this is my plan. Actually none of this can be switched or put off so this is what will happen. I think I need some caffeine today! LOL I know you all wanted to view the utterly boring life of a SAHM. Well, there ya go.
