My life is.......

wierd right now. I really love being busy, I love it. It keeps me together, mentally and physically. I love to work hard, I get so much satisfaction from it. Today was just one of those never-ending days that started to unravel. And since Mark is busy arresting people (like gay brothers who fight over their boyfriend and attack each other with barbeque spears and Bottles of Jack Daniels)He can't really listen to my vent so I get to unload it here :D

I babysit part time which is fine, but today the 6 year old and Dayton were literally duking it out. Dayton had painted me a butterfly in preschool and is so super proud of it. When she asked if she could see it he said no, but she took it anyway and he completely freaked out, and while scuffling over it she shoved him to the ground, and he came back at her with his liitle rage (It was almost funny....but not) and clocked her right in the head with a quick left/right BAMMO. This was quite the ordeal, the girl is used to ruling the roost at home and getting catered to, so a house like ours is a big learning experience. We had a big talk and everybody said sorry sincerely and she was wanting to stay when her mom came, so I guess I did a pretty good job of patching things up. :D So after I had made magic bars(naughty!) to give to some neighborhood helpers and VT people, AND dinner, and listened to the boys fight over stupid action figures and went to a football scrimmage (in which Cade did AWESOME!) I realized that Cooper is seriously sick. Luckily football was over by 8 and I got the kids home and had Cade babysit (he actually got them bathed and in jammies and started the rest of his homework...I was so amazed!) I took Sadie and Coop to urgent care. I just don't have time tomorrow, I'm babysittting 8 am to 7 pm. I just felt like this day would never end as I was driving to the UC. Luckily they are strep free, they just have a bug and are not contagious anymore. Then of course its finishing Cades homework till 10:30 and now I have the headache. It has been a long stressful day and tomorrow is shaping up to be somewhat similar.

On the good side, I was out of time this morning to go to the gym, and it was upper body day, so I pulled out the weights and bench and did it at home while I watched Regis and Kelly. Go ME!!

Ow-I'm a dork

Yeah, great workout yesterday...OW! I'm dying today. I did hit alllllll the right spots though, and I was happy to hit the 7.0 pace for a full minute in my HIIT today, up a whole level from last time. At least my legs werent hurting for a few minutes there while I was running. So heres how big of a loser I am.....I'm walking out to Cades practice last night (there are about 5 teams that practice on the same fields all at once) and my arms are full of my chair, my drink, my purse, a book, some shirts (stuff for someone else) and my legs are hurting and feeling weak so I think "Ok, walk carefully in this grass, its kinda uneven" and not 3 steps later I find myself going down to BOTH knees! I didn't drop all my gear though! LOL! The players were all busy but the group of coaches from the other teams ( you know how they all stand around in their little clumps) I'm sure got a nice chuckle about the retardo who can't walk. I HATE falling! Its so embarrassing! I called Mark and told him, he thinks I should just give up and get a cane. No way, I'd probably hurt myself with that too! I really need a walker with the tennis balls on it to keep myself upright. Oh well at least its because I'm working hard in the gym right??

Good Monday

Just got back from the gym, I did legs today and it felt pretty good, I worked hard on a smith machine squat circuit, lunges, deadlifts, plie squats, then quads and hammies. I pushed it hard for 40 minutes, Yay me! Also clean eating and lots of water and NO Rockstar or soda! And yes I have a headache already! LOL I can see glimpses of my fit body under the pudge and it gives me hope. A lot of my muscle is still there, so that is encouraging. The main ones I've lost the most (that I can tell, anyway) are abs, shoulders and quads. I'll be working hard to get those all back. Within the next couple weeks I want to start doing my old friday night runs. I'm always bored on friday night anyway, and it should start cooling down after dark in about a month (or less) and it really boosts my fat loss and my mood to do one long 4.5 mile run a week on top of my other cardio and weights. Anybody want to come along??

I was having fun sportin my new Shox today. They are orange, silver and white. Mark got them for me as a surprise just because I have been working so hard and pampering him and doing everything. I thought that was SO sweet! Its nice to be appreciated. Love Love Love that guy!!

Looks like I'm set up for a really good week. Busy and productive, that is what I'm shooting for!

Hey ya

I have to get a life, I am blogging WAY too much! I need something that will install into my computer and automatically shut me down after a certain amount of time a day or something. Does anyone else get a buzz from the computer?? I can almost feel my brain being massaged when I am looking at the screen. I can't turn away. It can't be a good thing. I go through phases where all I want to do is get on here. Then it goes away a little and I do other stuff. The computer babysits me when Mark is at work, which is a lot.
I guess it would be classified as escapism. Hey at least I'm not drinking or something, right?? Blogging: the clean living escape. LOL

I was saved by Jill today, I was gonna bag the gym and I saw her going after preschool, so I tagged along. I'm really glad I did, because I was already kicking myself for not going, even before I hadn't gone. Does that make any sense? I did a really good arm workout, and after tuesdays legs, I should pretty much be in a vegatative state by morning, because I'm still doing the George Jefferson walk today. SO pair that with the arms that look like I'm holding suitcases while I'm walking (like molly shannon on SNL....CLASSIC!! LOL) I'll be a real winner tomorrow. My HIIT yesterday was a sad tale. I peaked out at a 6.5 for 45 seconds in the 19th minute. How sad is that?? I was at one time busting a 45 second level 9! Its sad how far I have fallen. I need to set some goals for my HIIT. I am pleased with my 3 days in a row. Tomorrow is looking good for another HIIT. Eek. I will admit that I already am feeling better, less chubby, although I'm sure I''m the same weight and body comp. Its such a mental game it's freaky.

Nutrition is quite lacking. We have again hit YC's for the 3rd time in a week. Mark is totally, hopelessly addicted, and I really like it too. ts hard to rationalize eating anything else, because its so stinkin healthy. I am going to definetly cut out the Rockstars. I cant afford them, first of all, ( I spend all my $$ at YC's now! LOL)and I should not be drinking all those chemicals. Screw the Taurine, Guarine, Ginseng, whatever, I don't need it. It dosen't even really give me that much energy, I can drink one and go right to sleep. Anyway, if I'm not eating YC's I eat fruit snacks or nothing. Its terrible. I'm just sick of food in general. It has to be the heat. Who wants to eat in 112 degree weather? The only thing that sounds good is.......well I just told you. I really have been craving a turkey bacon wrap on a whole what tortilla. with lettuce and tomato and mustard. I can't wait to go grocery shopping tomorrow, it should be fun.

Tomorrow night Cade has his first scrimmage for football. I'm already getting nervous and planning what he should be eating beforehand, making sure he has Gatorade, all that stuff. Unfortunately, I think he will be cornerback, which is a pretty lame position, so hopefully he will be cool with it and mabye get a chance to do something good. Its tough to be the newbie on a team.

Sadie started Dance this week officially, she is so excited. Heres a funny story, I guess today she had a book report due that she had slipped by me (she did that once last year and got in HUGE trouble) so this is how she handled it. I found this note on my bed last night after she was asleep:

TO: Mom
From: Sadie

URGENT
Read before Thursday 8/23

Dear Mom, I should be grounded tomorrow because I have not done my book report. It is due tomorrow. I have to remember to do things on the right time.

Truly yours,
Sadie

How adorable is that?? Of course she is grounded for the rest of the week and she had 1 extra day to do it or else no parties this weekend, but still, what a girl. Love her! She got it done of course.

OK THIS is the longest post EVER!

No sickie

Alright well Wyatt is fine. No fever, he feels fine. Must have just been a 36 hour thing. So Maddy you can relax :D

What the heck do people make their families for dinner? I'm SO out of ideas. My usual 14 standby's are getting way past boring. Also, if you noticed my new blog look (somehow my cool black and pink disapeared, and Zoot designs seems to be out of order) but I forgot to save my links list and lost everybody. I'll try to get everybody back on as soon as I can. I needed to edit my list and add some new ones anyway, so it's alright.

I guilted Mark into doing football practice tonight, so I get to hang out at home.

Hearing Casey K announcing that she's doing the BFL challenge has REALLY got my wheels spinning. I think we should combine their BFL challenge into the biggest loser thing and do it for real. In fact, I am going to dust off Dana's Body of Work tapes (yes, VHS tapes) and we should all watch them. If you don't have a VCR I have a little one we can watch it on. I have never actually seen them. *GASP* I know, I've been a BFL fraud all of these years, I've never seen the dang things. Thats why I still have Dana's. I have a huge advantage over everybody since I have done it before and I have the most fat to lose. So I guess I"m going to have to kick everybody's booty. Yay for me!!!! LOL Anybody else want to join in the butt-kickin' I'm dishing out over here???

Sunday Sunday

Sunday started out a bit rough. Mark didn't get home in time for church, and Wyatt was sick so without a babysitter I ended up just making it to Primary to do the music. I was trying to get Cade and Sadie to get ready and come with me but Cade had a complete MELTDOWN over his shoes and his hair and some other stuff, so I was a bit frazzled. 11 year old freak-outs are no easier to handle than 3 year old freak-outs. Besides my buddy aunt flow is REALLY not liking me this go-round. I came home and crashed for about 3 hours. I went straight to my room, I didn't even go in the kitchen or say hi to anybody, I just crashed. I felt MUCH better when I woke up, even though it was to my visiting teacher who I enjoy chatting with, it was just a little too long of a visit.

Then Mark and I took the kids out to his dispatch station for family time to pick up my 9x13 pan he left there last night after the pot luck. We sang and had fun the whole way there and back, so that was good, my kids know I don't hate them :D Right about the time we got home Mark got called in to work till midnight. It will be a fun shift though, he will be watching $350,000 cash during a poker tourney at the Casino. He was happy to have something fun to do for work for a change. Then tomorrow he has a training at the driving course, which will be fun because, um, what guy dosent' love practicing his Dukes of Hazzard driving skills and get paid for it??? LOL

Tomorrow Wyatt will be home from school, I may have to take him to the Dr in the afternoon, because he has a fever and his throat hurts, so I'm thinking strep. But in the morning I have to go to a lady's house and give her a perm on her looooong hair, that will take me a couple hours (about 3-4 hours) but I'm charging her an arm and a leg so its worth my time. I'm staying up late tonight to get things done because it looks like another insane week.

So much for "oh yeah, all my kids are in school, I'll have time for stuff". Whateva!

I hate Saturday chores

And I don't even have to do them. I am trying to be a good parent and make my kids do their chores. I'm usually really bad about just giving them one or 2 minor things to do and doing the rest myself, but after being told I am a terrible parent by my parents and Mark, I decided I better stop micromanging things and let go a little. It is freakin driving me CRAZY!!They just DO NOT understand that they could get what I have given them completely done in less than a half hour if they would just buckle down together and DO IT instead of arguing over whos stuff is who's and stop getting distracted. All TVs and such have been suspended but they just continue to fight and I am so sick of taking away privelges and punishing. I say "lets get it done and we'll go to a movie with dad later" and last about 3 minutes. I"m really trying to stay out of it and let them figure it out but I don't think they are ready to be turned loose to their own cleaning devices yet. I could be done with it all had I just done it myself, but I know that is not going to teach them, and I just want the house cleaned up. So I'm trying to hide in the office (after I had to point out every single scrap of everything that had to be picked up in here....I'ts like they are completely blind to the wrappers and papers). Cade is pretty good about taking charge and getting them to do their stuff, but he gets a little power-hungry and starts yelling at everbody (geeeee, I wonder where he gets that?)Today so far he is doing well at managing the troops. Sadie has been screeching at everyone and bossing everyone around and NOT being nice, so Cooper told her to shut up (not acceptable in this house) and she threw his shoe at him. Then stormed off to her room and pouted.

Bottom line, I'm going to the temple this morning to help my sister (Its her second time) and I want to come home to something that resembles a house, not a garbge waste dump so we can be happy. I mean I can be happy. Then Mark wants me to make this special pistachio ice cream dessert for work tonight and he wants to take the kids to do something as a family today like a movie, so my day is now booked until the swim party tonight. So much for lazy Saturday.

Life in general and SYTYCD!

I know, same crap different day. Actually I am doing pretty good with everything, as usual the more I have to do the more I get done....to a point. I am very happy we are halfway through hell month for Cade's football, its mon-fri 6-9 (with driving and all)and this saturday we don't have ANYTHING to do. Well I mean the kids don't, I do but I do get to sleep in. I have been working a lot which is good for the pocketbook and Mark has been working a ton too, not just police shifts but side construction too. We are a couple of field hands. We had 2 hours of a break this afternoon while the 4 big kids were still at school so we slipped away for some YC's Mongolian grill. YUMMO!!! And pretty healthy too. It was great. Then I came home and crashed for about 30 minutes. I need that recharge in the afternoon before I get all the kids, or else it's a rough evening.

I still haven't seen the whole finale of SYTYCD. I keep starting it but then having to go do something, I think I only have 2 more dances to watch. I actually think I'm pulling for Danny, just out of sheer fabulousness, but Sabra is just awesome AND cute as a button, and I LOVE it that she has only been dancing 4 years and is this awesome. And my honest opinion here: Although I think the dancing is better this season (by a lot) the choreography and personalities aren't as good as last season. They can top him dance-wise, but nobody will be as cool and just plain awesome as Benji! Nothing this year wowed me like Sexyback and Rama Lama did last year, but mabye thats because it was all a new thing last year or something. There are some AMAZING dances this year too (the devil and the angel, and the hummingbird and flower to name a couple...oh and the Mia Michaels one with the goggles)Some dances have grown on me, like the goggles one, and the freaky 50's/80's suspender dance. I also loved the Rhumba from one of the first weeks....the song was by Ciara or somebody and it rocked. Anyway, that is my take on it, I love the show, it has been a very fun season. :D

Dayton had his first week of preschool. He was so excited. He loved it, mostly becuase he got to be with his buddies Brody and Bailey. It made it soooo much easier. The first day he came home and told me "Mommy, I have a wonderful teacher." How cute is that?? I hear him in the other room right now singing "we are the dinosaurs, marching, marching..." LOL

ANyway, tonight is football practice of course, we are taking pizza out there to eat and we could probably cook it on the sidewalk, its hotter than Hades today. I think it was 113 on my car temp gauge. I mean its HOT. Plus we get our cool car decals for our team, they are cool. Go Dawgs!! The boys don't seem to mind the heat, they are crazy! Our other (stupid!) fundraiser has been a box of 50 huge chocolate bars we are supposed to sell for a dollar a piece. I've only had a couple, but like I need a box of 50 huge chocolate bars sitting in my kitchen. I'm sending a bunch with Mark to work tonight and try to get rid of them!! The kids went and sold some tot he neighbors and had SO much fun. They sold 8 and were so proud of themselves. Anybody who knows us that want some, please come buy some, they are good but I don't want them!!! LOL

Lotsa stuff

Today I got back to the gym and did a pretty good HIIT. I am absolutely miserable in my body right now. I told Mark last night I feel like I'm wearing a fat suit. It feels so unnatural and icky. He says sarcastically "hey, you should get a gym membership!" Punk. Like he can talk. Then he says he lets his stomach hang out on purpose so that people will think he's just a regular guy and he won't intimidate anybody. It was something like that. hehe what a goof. I talked to Maddy about doing a biggest loser with some people (um Jill and Casey, I don't think you guys qualify...you have to have excess fat ;) But whoever wants to can do it with us. We haven't officially started yet but I'm not waiting, I had to start today. I may have to go back to the Dr. and get my prescription fat burner to jumpstart me and get me through the fall/holidays like last year. It worked so good.

Tomorrow Dayton starts preschool 2 days per week. I am already so sad! He has always been my little buddy, and he is just getting so big! There is something about he last one that is just, I don't know. I will for sure be choked up tomorrow. We met his teacher and he is carpooling with 2 friends so he should be fine. I promised him we'd go find him a cool backpack and snack box this afternoon. He got his folder at meet the teacher and has been carrying it around ever since.

Today is my day for babysitting co-op so its housecleaning and laundry day. Gotta get ready for the week! Monday and tuesday are my down days to get prepared for the crazy rest of the week/ weekend, so I try to keep things chill and get geared up. Mark is working for his friend Mike today anyway so I have some time to focus on the house. So I guess I better go focus on it, huh?

Tick tock!!

I just realized I only have about 6 weeks till my birthday!!! Yikes! I can't be feeling this fugly when I turn 33, it will be a birthday-suicide!!! LOL How much poundage is realistic to shed in 6 weeks? 10?? OK, I'm going for 10. 15 would be great, but I'm OK with 10. Gym tomorrow, groceries on friday........I can't wait to get back on it!! For my birthday I am asking Mark for a microdermabrason facial. My face is like the grand canyon filled in with tar. No really, I think I'm getting Rosacea, its getting worse. My pores are craters and my broken capilaries have about doubled in the last few months. Yucky yuck. I'm like one big blackhead. Ew. Thank goodness for Bare Minerals!

Other than my skin, things are good :D

Yay I'm better!

I'm back to the land of the living. Whew, that was bad. ANYway.......

Nothing else new to report, I'm just busier than ever but its really good. Getting back to the gym Thursday, I think my lungs will be clear enough by then. Thats all I got for now. Lets just say....TGFB!!!!! (thank goodness for Blackberries!!!)

update

So the latest is they think I have pneumonia, but now I've been on the antibiotics for 4 days, so whatever they find out who cares because I'm half healed now anyway. I almost went to the ER with a headache Friday night, but after I got up and walked around it was just a tiny bit better (it had stayed bad even after 5 Celebrex and lots of other pain meds so the DR was worried) and after a while I was able to sleep. Being so sleep deprived was not the best way to handle the coughing, sore throat and headache, it was not one of my better moments. Now I'm down to just coughing and no voice. And tiredness. I guess I will survive it after all, unless they find something else. I think I had strep too, but I never got the results of that back. I'm taking tomorrow off from all activities and then monday looks like I'll be back on function mode again.

Mark is taking an extra day off this week for his birthday (he gets a paid vaca day for it each year) and I think he's angling to go to Vegas with his friends overnight. He is offering me a 2 day trip to Thatcher to hang with my mom/sister BY MYSELF and you betcha I'm going for it. Oooooh, I can read, sleep, chat, make awesome cards, go to see Hairspray in the middle of the day........H E A V E N!!!!!I am all over it. I hope it works out.

better.......

I had a HORRIBLE nights sleep last night, the worst I can ever remember. the stupid anibiotics give me a metal taste in my mouth and pair that with a sore throat and I was waking up every hour trying to coat my throat with something. It was so funny, I had gotten a big ol symphony bar in a "wah wah poor me" moment at the pharmacy and I kept it by my bed so that when I woke up with this nasty metal taste I could erase it for long enough to get back to sleep for a few minutes. It was misery. Now I'm living on cough drops that take the taste away a little and make my throat feel better. I don't know If I can do 10 days of this disgusting taste. Still no word on what I actually have. I managed to medicate enough to get a bunch of work done today, everything is all sanitized, enough clothes are clean to get me throught he next couple days, and I am ready for a little nap before I have to care for 7 children from after school till 7 tonight. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!Chicken soup (I made last night) and a nap is whats goin down right now.

P.S. 7 kids are really hard to manage after school. Especially the ones that aren't your own. 3.5 hours and counting. It is worth it though.

S.O.S.!!!!!

Not good. I'm sinking quick. I'm so sick. The coughing alone is about to kill me, and that is fully dosed on robitussin. Some insurance card info delayerd my getting the antibiotics till this afternoon, and I'm not feeling any better yet. The house is a pigpen, I desparately need laundry done.......AHHHHHHHHHH! I swore that I would stay up and do some tonight, at least the kitchen and bathrooms (nothing worse than being sick when you have dirty bathrooms)but my throat is killing me, and my extremities are throbbing. I took some cough syrup and I about passed out from the throat pain as it went down. I have GOT to spend most of tomorrow lying down, unless the antibiotics kick in and I feel better after a good night sleep. I'm serious, I have not been this miserable in YEARS, especially not for this long at a time, this is torture! I hope they call me tomorrow and I get some answers and a time frame for recovery, this is the pits! I went for the chest x-ray this morning, I almost bagged it but now I'm glad I went, just to rule stuff out.

I wish I had something else good to write about, but this butt-kicking is all I have going right now. I'm just trying to stay awake long enough to make sure the kids get to sleep, then its lights out.
