Sadie Rules!!

Alright then, how much more time can I waste today???? LOL I jsut want to do fun things like send e-mails and type out my recipes to put in my new recipe binder. I have Wyatt home sick (from yesterday, he's fine now, but the school wont let him come back til his fever has been gone for 24 hrs...DUMB) and Daytons preschool is cancelled because his teacher had to go to a funeral in Utah. Everything is kinda thrown off today. I need to get off my butt and get some errands done but I dont' FEEL like it! I haven't been to the gym yet this week and I made cookies yesterday, so that tells you where I'm at with fitness! BLEH! But I did get some redecorating done (we hung the TV on the WALL!!!!) and my Valentine stuff is out, so I have been somewhat busy. Unfortunatly the "do to" list is still 10 times longer than the "done" list, and I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I have to give a big shout out to Sadie, last night she made pancakes for everybody for dinner all by herself because Wyatt was miserable and needed to be held(by me) after I had been a 2 hour meeting for Jr Acheivement for school. And when I woke her up this morning, she had cleaned her room and had her chorus folder ready to go. AND she was the only one to get her homework all done while I was at my meeting. Love that girl!!!

Blessing #3-And Pres. Hinckley

My family. As in, my parents, siblings and in-laws on my side. One thing I do love is when we all get together (which hasn't been very often lately) and hang out. You would not even believe how musically talented my family is. We talk jokingly abot having our own "Derusha Idol" competition which would be awesome, because everyone (except me) has pipes. I mean like real awesome singing talent, plus everyone plays instruments. I love listening to my brothers and sisters sing together, they have some duets that really are killer. I really miss hearing that. I am really excited about this year because my sis Bri will be coming home to stay from Hawaii and my brother Nate will be coming to AZ(from Korea) to finish his military stint in southern AZ. For the last few years we haven't been able to ALL be together, it seems like someone is always missing. My parents are the best. My dad and step mom and I are really close. I've always been somewhat of a daddys girl, and my step mom did an awesome job coming in to our family when I was 9 and loving us all and being a great mom. I learned so many good things from her. Ever since I was a teenager we'd stay up and talk till 2 or stay up and clean all night (hmmmmm sound familiar??? lol) I know it was not easy for them (or any of us) to raise a blended family, it was(and still sometimes is) a major challenge, but they did it. I am also really lucky that my little brother and sister picked awesome people to marry into the family. I could not ask for better BIL and SIL. Now one of my other brothers actually married a psycho but I havent seen her in about 7 years and I dont' care to ever see her again so I'm not really counting her. But other than her, I am super grateful for my awesome family, we are really blessed!

Me with my siblings...Except one :( So I guess he gets his own special picture!

I love these guys!

EDIT: I feel like I should have Pres. Hinckley as my #3 Blessing now.....but I'll leave it since I did all that work. I just really loved this man, I had watched a documentary on his life a couple years ago and I was just amazed at the accompishments he had in furthuring the church. It is unreal the things he moved forward, even before he became a member of the first presidncy decades ago. He truly dedicated his life to the church, and I am so humbled by that. When we heard the news of his passing last night, we got the kids out of bed and had a little family meeting about it and told the kids. We explained to them that a new prophet would be called and how neat it was that our church just continues to go on the same, even with a change of leadership. I asked Cade why that was, and he said without skipping a beat "Because we believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church." I swear my heart swelled to twice its nrmal size, I was so proud of him for knowing that. We love you President Hinckley, and we are so happy that you can be reunited with your sweet wife and family and those who love you!!

Cloverfield!!

We went out for Greek (YUMMY!) and then watched Cloverfield last night. We pretty much liked it. Its one of those that is scary because of what you CAN'T see, and it is wierd to have it all be on home movie. It did seem quite realistic, and there were certainly some freaky parts. It did start out pretty slow, I'm thinking "OK, uh, lets get this going now" but it was good. Our kids were so freaked out that we went to it. When we got home (at almost midnight!!!) they had a million questions. Cooper even asked if I was nervous about the movie BEFORE we left. LOL It was really good.

I guess I should clarify....Just Mark and I went to the movie....no way would we take the kids to that unless we'd seen it already! After the comments and rereading my post I realized that it sounded like we took them! No way!! :D And the shaky camera did not make me sick, it was more annoying to want to see things you couldn't, just like in regular home movies.

Back in business

I think I have just about cleared up the funk that was following my mood around this week. I just had some dumb things I needed to do that were not pleasant (bill paying type of stuff) and I have gotten some things accomplished so I feel better now. I was even having trouble sleeping over dumb, stupid things that I needed to do.

I am really happy to report that I have been to the gym and eaten almost perfect for 5 days straight. I think I have finally broken the 4 day barrier, and there is no end in sight! YES! I haven't done this good more than 4 days in a row for a YEAR. It feels really good, and I love my workouts (well I don't really like them but you know what I mean) I feel like I worked really hard every time afterward. Yay for the Afterburn program!

Heres a crazy event: Cade got contacts!! I can't believe I have a kid old enough to deal with contacts. He likes them so far, its been 3 days. Tonight he has a campout and a football game tomorrow, so we are kinda busy, and yeah, I have my neice again. I'm bummed only because I'll have to get up early instead of sleeping in, but other than that she is a good girl. The kids just get a bit hyper when she's here, but we'll be at the football game for a lot of it so they can run wild there.

Mark had class today so he will actually be home tonight(late)....on a WEEKEND! I'm thinking a movie on a friday night like normal people! Anybody want to come??? Seriously, we never get to go with anyone else but ourselves.

TV Night!!

And just in time, because I'm feeling a little blah tonight. Did anyone watch Bruno and Carrieann last night?? I thought it was pretty good, I thought Bruno's team was MUCH better! The tech difficulties for Carrieanns first number was a bummer, I bet she handed somebody their a** after the show finished taping over that one!! LOL Still, Brunos team did much better. Probably because they have Zack. Oh yeah. I missed Gladiators AGAIN! I'm just too busy to sit down and watch it at that time for some reason, and too tired to watch it later. See cuz now I'll be backed up with AI and Biggest Loser, I'll be lucky to get through AI tonight before I crash. The last 2 weeks I've rewound BL about 6 times trying to watch the end (or middle ;) until I give up and just go to sleep. Then I have to add it to tomorrow's lineup.

I have no idea why I'm such a Crabby Patty tonight, I had a great day. Dayton had school, then he played with the B-dog all day (THX, Jill!) and the neighbor across the street, I did hair and made some cash, got in a good workout....hmmmmmm it must be because I'm back on my fitness program so I have that nagging headache from sugar withdrawl. I was not feeling too nice during homework so I went and layed down but that didn't really help. Mabye because I left the homework chore to Mark, and well lets say it didnt work out too well. He's sick again and on hardly any sleep though so I'll cut him some slack. Then I wolfed down 2 bananas and am sipping on a diet Coke. WOW those bananas were good. Mmmmmm sugar! I was really a spaz today too, my hair client probably thought I was on something LOL!! I must be on a day 2 sugar crash. I guess I got the last buzz 5 hours ago, now its over.

monday mlk madness

I'm not sure who I'm madder at....MLK or James Earl Ray for the stupid holiday we have today with NO SCHOOL. I know I should be like a cool mom and have cool activities planned and spend quality time yadda yadda but I am entertaining my friends 3 kids in addition to mine. Plus, I'm a little yanked that we have yet another monday off school and it's negating my playgroup freedom. And Mark is working all his nights off so he's attempting to sleep before he goes back in tonight. I just don't have the energy or resources or patience to drag 8 kids ANYWHERE. They made snowcones, did the dog-walking, playstation, movie, gone to the park, eaten about 6 times, I'm pretty much out of ideas. The big boys want to walk down to Gamestop, to which the answer was a giant HECK NO!. Now they want to paint. The extra kids were supposed to be picked up over 2 hours ago but due to plane delays....are stil here and will continue to be here. Its nobodys fault, I have been on the opposite end of this dilemma before, but I'm just ready to get my house together and have this day over. I did manage to escape to the gym for an hour earlier today, and I have been eating clean and have almost all my gallon of water gone, which I feel great about.

So my coping strategy is....accomplish a couple things that can't be undone by the tasmanian devils, like workouts, laundry and blogging. I think I can think of 3 chores that I can hand out to each set of friends to accomplish, mabye if I type it out in cool fonts and colors it will seem more fun. Now I just need a bribe. How about: "if you do all these chores in the next 30 minutes you wont have to clean up all the fresh blood....." LOL I'm KIDDING!!

Blessing #2

First of all thanks so much for your awesomely nice comments....Love you guys!! :D

I'm hoping it's apparent that I will have to post more than 1 blessing per week at first to get caught up since it is almost 3 weeks into the year. :D So Captain obvious says that of course my #2 blessing in my life is: the SHORTIES!!

First day of school this year-K, 2nd, 4th, 5th

First day of preschool!!!

First off, I am so amazingly blessed that they are all healthy, smart, funny, and naturally obedient spirits. You know how some kids come into the world and by the end of day 1 of their life they are just......difficult?? Well, I have none of those. I had 5 great babies, who have grown up to be great kids. I know it was more the sheer number of them so close together was the biggest challenge. Granted, we are far from through the teenage years, but I'm hoping with the proper teachings and preparedness we will make it through. They sleep in on the weekends,(or at least let me sleep in)And every one of them still likes to cuddle on the couch (even Cade, but shhhh its a secret!) and they really do try to be good and helpful. I just love them to death. Nobody could ask for better kids than I have been blessed with.

My 52 blessings

I love the idea of a blessing a week post for 1 year, and since I have nothing new or entertaining to blog about, I think I'll go with that.

I wanted to just quick give a shout out to my "new" blogging buds that have found me and I just couldn't be more excited! Marcie and Holly and Jaimee (and Andrea!;). Marcie, Jaimee and I have been BFF's since 9th grade!!! I don't even want to know how many years ago that was!! LOL And now here we are, reunited on blogs. Good times!

OK so for my #1 Blessing you know who its gonna be.......MARK! I honestly would not be who I am without this amazing man in my life. I am the queen of lucky to be married to him. I swear he could even make Hell fun. I'd rather not find out if thats true, but it probably is!! LOL He knows me better than I know myself and stil loves me (what a champ!) and I can truly say that I am in love even more now than when we got married and I can't wait to be with him forever. He's a super hard worker, if you need something done, he's your guy. Well, except for lightbulb changing, that sort of thing, I've given up on a lot of that LOL. He's my spiritual advisor, my comic relief, my shoulder to cry on and a seriously sexy beast. He's an awesome dad, and a great cop. I'm just really grateful he took a chance on me 13 years ago and I love the life and family we have built together. Between work, church and home he has gigantic responsibilites on his shoulders, but just handles it all with ease. Amazing.

Monday and show recap

Ahhhh I just love me some Mondays!! LOL Most of the time Mondays are fun. Mark is off work usually and today was pretty good. Dayton had playgroup, so I just hung out with my big man after I did hair and cleaned a little. It was perfect, Except for the fact that I didn't make it to the gym. Lets just say I got in the car to go 3 separate times, and had to turn back for different reasons, so I got pissed and gave up. Dumb, I know, but I think its the TOM makes me really scattered and unfocused and it sucks. 2 more days and I'll be back to me again. I hope. So aside from no workout I had a fun day. We went to a quick lunch at Olive Garden, (I love having one a mile from me!) and then to get Marks car. YAY and BOO at the same time. It is satisfying to have it back though. Mark is in heaven with it. It really was like his own portable personal office space that nobody messed with. His little sanctuary, and it has been missing since October. I can't believe we went that long without it! If it werent for my dad and Dustin, we would have been SO screwed, well, at least very very inconvenienced.
YAY for the PT!! He's HOME!!

SHOW RECAP:

Scott Baio was GREAT! I will like this season even more than the last. I am in love with the house they are buying, holy cow. LOVE it. Did anyone notice how awesome the 80"s music was?? It was so cool.

Rock of Love...well... I think I shrieked out "EEEWWW!" or "ICK!!" about a hundred times while watching this. Those girls were NASTY crusty skanks!!! Especially the Frenchie girl, I about barfed!! Brett looks like total crap in the promo pics with his hair down, yucky! I will be watching and grossing out all season. YAY!!

Did anyone catch Rob and Big?? The new season started last week, oh man it was funny. Rob got a net gun(to catch whoever pooped in his pool...ew!) and was catching people in nets. I was dying.

In honor of AI starting tomorrow night, I got 2 new Karaoke CD's to start using the little Karaoke machine we got as a Christmas gift. So that is what we did for FHE tonight. I had the most fun of course, but the kids liked it too. I need to find a good one of more kid-type pop songs, the 2 I got were a 70's and a 90's, both are excellent. I can't wait to have my fam over and have a big K party!! And speaking of CD's, I also splurged on myself (haha how pathetic) and got the Dirty Dancing 20 year anniversary CD. ALLLLLL the songs from the movie in order. OOOOOH I love it!!

So this week, we have Bruno/CarrieAnn, Gladiators, AI, Biggest Loser, 30 Rock ( SO funny!!), and who knows what else I'm forgetting. Woo hooo!

Fitness update: Like I said, no gym today, booooo! I feel like crapola. Tomorrow I will double up. And go get my prescription filled for happy skinny mommy pills. LOL!!! No, Seriously.

week wrap up and rewind

I'm wiped out, oh man. I have to give my last 2 days a backstory: My dad is really taking care of Cade (and the other kids, but Cade is the one who is into it most) as far as their music education. Cade is doing really well. My dad took Cade over the winter break to spend tme in Thatcher and work on music for a concert. Well the concert was last night in Thatcher. On a week night. SUCKY! I'm really appreciative of all my dad does (countless hours spent, he gets them all their instruments, music etc. its a lot) so I have to put forward some too, so I agree to get the kids out of school at noon and drive them the 2 1/2 hours to Thatcher for Cade to be in the concert. The plan was to do the concert and then a quick sleep at my parents and get on the road by 5:45am to get home. It started out fine, we got there, Cade on stage playing mandolin and harmonizing with my dad was SO cute!!! I was really really proud of him. He gets to play with some really taleted musicians. So we slept at my parents and the plan was to leave REALLY early and try to get the kds to school by 8:30 am, and get Mark picked up at work (faaaaar away) by 9 and then go pick up his car. Yeah, that didn't really happen. I left early, a little later than I wanted but I had stayed up talking with my mom till 2 and things this morning just didn't go that smooth and it all got fudged up. Marks car wasn't ready like they said it would be (mechanics!!!!!!!) and the kids got to school late(more like 10am) and Sadie had another of her classic stomachaches. I came home and got 2 hours of crappy sleep so now I'm beat. All for nothing, too, because the car won't even be ready till monday. I know, we really had them on a tight schedule, they only had 6 WEEKS to get it done, and 3 days warning we were coming to get it today. Grrrr! The boys are all wound up now and I think I'm gonna put Cade in charge of putting on a movie and I'm gonna crash. I did manage to make a yummy dinner and some no bake cheesecake (YIKES) I think I'm PMSing. Mark is at work so I'm gonna go lay in bed with all the shows I missed over the last couple days. I think if I can sleep in tomorrow really good, then go workout and get some extra chores done with the boys, I'll be back on top by Sunday.

BLOG REWIND
Here are some fun pics of hiking Camelback Mountain from Thanksgiving break. I was inspired by Kat's and thought I'd share. This is some serious climbing!

1.25 miles of this = TIRING but awesome at the top!!!

Its like a party in my mouth!

This morning I finally got up the motivation to make Rae's Chicken Cacciatore. I love Rae, she is an Aussie Figure Competitor and she is such an awesome lady with the best attitude.I've been blog stalking her for a couple years now. Her blog is always so uplifting! Shes at raecattach.blogspot.com. Anyway, I think what made it kind of hard for me to finally make the recipe was that I had convert things and look up ingredients, for instance I had no clue what "capsicum" was, and I had to change kilos to pounds. Not that it is hard to find these things out, but that kind of obstacle can keep me from a project, I'm wierd like that. But since the veggies I bought for it werent going to last forever and Mark took my car this morning, I'm stuck at home and today was the day. Can I just say YUMMO! I am going to repost the recipe here with my own conversions, I hope she won't mind, but then mabye some of you could enjoy this also. The best part is now I have 10 servings (well, 9 now :) I don't know if this is exactly like hers, but it looked like her pictures and was delish.

Rae's Chicken Cacciatore (American style)

1T olive oil
2.5 lbs chicken breast, cut as small as possible
2 onions chopped
1 whole celery bunch, chopped
1-2 red bell peppers, chopped
1 package sliced mushrooms
2 zucchini chopped

1 large jar pasta sauce (I used no sugar added Ragu I got at Wal Mart)
1 can tomato paste(not sure I would add this next time)
1 large can crushed tomatoes
4-5 garlic cloves
Crushed pepper(to taste)
Italian herbs (to taste)
2 chicken stock cubes
salt and pepper (to taste)

1.Heat oil in large pot and add the onion, red pepper and celery. Cook until onion is soft
2. Add chicken breast and cook through, breaking up chunks
3. Add the tomato paste and stir.
4. Add seasonings, garlic, chicken stock cubes, and pasta sauce.Mix it all up well.
5. Add the remaining vegetables.
6. Lower the heat and simmer and heat through.
7. Portion out into 10 containers (the 2 cup size) and pop into the freezer.

I could EASILY eat this twice a day, its like a super chunky spegetti sauce with chicken mixed in. the crushed pepper gives it a really nice little bite on the end, it was so flavorful. Of course I want pasta with it but I will refrain! LOL

Now I have to reorganize my freezer LOL

I think I'm in the mood to try some of Amy's homemade granola. I better do it before all my raw almonds are eaten by the kids!

New show recap and reflections......

I just got finished watching The Bruno v. CarrieAnn Dance War show. Ohhhhh boy I LOVED it!! I was so glued. It reminded of me of the show Fame...it was just all these young raw talent people and the choreography was really fun. They were looking for people who could sing AND dance, it was great. The singing is pretty good, just a teeny bit under American idol, but I am lovin me some Zack!! He is by far my favorite. Cute cute cute, and I even hated his shirt but still loved him. I also totally enjoyed American Gladiators, I missed tonights but I saw Sunday nights' and I was not dissapointed. Comebacks, blood, amazing physiques, and I think the thing I liked best was that they did the same contests that they used to do 14 years ago. It was such a fun memory to watch it like we used to, and the kids thought it was the bomb. Cade is planning to be a contestant, how cute is that?? I think its an awesome thing to want to do.

Speaking of cute.....Sadie got a book of MadLibs from a friend, and she didn't know what it was. Ohhhh boy, was that funny. So we did some, and we were laughing SO hard!! I had get a picture because it is so funny to watch her laugh so hard. We were rolling on the bed, literally!!! I havent' laughed that hard in a long time, it was great.

Tonight she was watching some old movies of when Wyatt was about 2 weeks old, Cooper was 2, and Sadie was almost 4 and Cade was 5. Oh my gosh were they adorable!! Cooper just LOVED Barney and would do the quack quack quack duck song, We were giggling at how hilarious they were. I almost started crying when I thought about how it would feel to hold baby Wyatt like that again and see Sadie flutter and dance around everywhere like she used to. Coopers sweet little morning face eating his pancakes. Oh man, how am I ever going to deal with them growing up?? I'm getting all teary, I must have PMS!!! LOL I'd just love to go back for about 5 hours, that would be so cool. Because then I look at a picture like this:Kids left to right.....Dayton 2 days old (waaaay down over to the left) Cade age 6, Cooper age 2, Sadie age 4, Wyatt age 1.

And I think Ohhhhhh Lordy I have come down one long, serious road!!! I guess what is getting me started on this is that it is such a big year of changes for us with the kids. Cade is getting the priesthood this year, Cooper is getting baptized this year, Sadie Turns 10 this year, and Dayton starts all day Kindergarten this year. I think it is really scarng me how fast it is going and I'm panicking a bit. I just want to stay cushioned between this stage of no babies and no teenagers. Selfish, I know, I can't help it.

Fitness update: Workout today, good cardio. My peak running speeed was an 8.0, I haven't gone that fast in a long while. Eating, well, I'm still on a mediocre track, but I'm feeling better. I am on board!!

What day is it?? and updates

I swear I am so thrown off, I have no clue. I'm all turned around with the sleeping in and the days of nothing specific planned. I'm VERY ready for school and routine. Here are a couple updates on different subjects:

Fitness:
I went the other day and got myself assessed at the gym. I was really dreading the numbers I was sure I'd be seeing. It tells you your "body" age (as opposed to chronological age) and your body fat % (I was REALLY dreading that number-I'm soooo squishy!) Bicep strength, cardio strength and weight. Yikes yikes double yikes. All I wanted was a simple BF% test, but the trainer convinced me to just do the whole thing on the spot.I hadn't had a test done with calipers since high school! I was pretty annoyed at first, but I really ended up liking the trainer. Turns out that she does figure comps on a national level (not sure exactly what that means-she has a pro card?) and she has trained people to do competitions. Uh-oh, knowing someone who actually trains girls is a step closer than I was....ugh!ANYWAY I was expecting to be a body age of about 37+, I was actually 32 ( a year younger than my real age!) and my body fat was -drumroll please.........21%!!!! I was expecting 26 or more! The other really cool thing, was that it showed that I had 122 pounds of LEAN mass and 33 pounds of fat. I was totally shocked! And in a good way. I could lose as little as 20 pounds and be very low fat and happy. Of course that means that the fat I do have to lose will be quite stubborn and I wil have to work very hard and be just about perfect. Bleh. My cardio was pretty weak, but I would expect that as little as I have run this year, and my bicep strength was pretty good. She looked at a typical day of clean eating (my own realistic mealplans of what I actually do eat) and she said I am eating WAY too much dairy, which I already knew but it was good to hear it from someone else. If I ever had the money to get serious and compete I would consider hiring this girl, she wasn't a "fluffy" gym type. It was nice to walk away from the conversation feeling good and not in despair. I guess I haven't fallen off as much as I thought, or mabye I was doing better before than I thought, either way I was wrong in a good way.

I got all my groceries and some more tupperware for my bulk cooking. First I am making Rae's chicken cacciatore soup stuff, I think it looks so good, and a couple precision nutrition recipes.

TV: I am SO excited for all the fun new shows coming up. SO many to pick, thank goodness for DVR! First of all, hello, American idol on the 15th, BIggest Loser already started, I LOVE celbrity Apprentice last night it was so great. I HATE Omorosa. She is just ridiculous. I hate that they even put her on the show with celebrities. We don't need to feed her overinflated ego, people. THen of course is Amazing Race already in progress, and a new Survivor coming in January (I'm prety sure). Then some new ones like Bruno vs. CarrieAnn, American Gladiators, and there has to be another SYTYCD starting sometime soon, right?? THat is all just for network shows, I can't forget about my REAL trash TV like Scott Baio is 46 and pregnant, and Rock of Love 2, I can't miss those. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. But I won't forget the big daddy of all shows, LOST coming back January 31. I really hope the strike is over soon, becuase I need the Office to come back on NOW. OK Its scaring me how many shows I love, but how else do I escape???

Organizing:
Well I havent organized anything since the garage the other day, but I am going to tackle my car next. Tomorrow. Then the closets. January is going to be a PURGE-a-thon. As if I were moving, but not packing up.

Church:
New year, new songs to teach. Tomorrow is Saturday, I better get on that one, huh?? Its nice to have someting specific to work on, its so much easier.

OK so thats the updates, probably not to exciting to most people. Fun times.

Garage purge- And Party On Wayne(party on Garth)

Everyone who drove past my garage today was probably thinking we were moving or something. But NO, I took every last item out and put it on the front lawn (becasue I'm classy like that) and hosed the whole works down. I had already this morning put all the Christmas away so it was all ready to go to its designated spot. I would have taken a picture to show the wonderful clean walls and corners, except it is back full of boxes, and compared to most poeple (ahem, everyone) in my neighborhood it still looks like the beverly hillbilies live here. Seriously, what does everyone DO with all of their holiday decorations?? Mabye I just have too much. Is 9 big boxes and 2 trees too much?? LOL I don't really have a usable attic (that I know of) so stacked to the ceiling it goes. Oh well, its cleaned and labeled and stacked neatly, its the best I can do. 6 HOURS it took, and my hands feel like sandpaper, but I finished. And redecorated my blank house a little. I really love a fresh clean slate.

Last night we had some of Marks cousins and my MIL over for a little game playing and soup. It was super fun. It is fun getting to know their new wives and litle baby Jones. We are really living like rockstars, staying up till all hours and sleeping till 10 every day. Its been almost a week of this, and I am loving it! I do have to actually get up tomorrow, darn it and hit the gym by 9 for some car-dee-OH! It is gonna hurt! I guess mabye living on nothing but Mountain Dew and half a 9x13 pan of dump cake for the last 2 days wasn't such a good idea, huh?? Well NOW the holidays are officially over. Dang it!

I love that my boys REALLY like babies. They just loved this little guy.

Happy New Year!!

I cannot believe it is 2008! Time is going WAY too fast! My week has flown by because I have been sleeping in till after 9 every day since Christmas and so I lose half the day before I even get up!! LOL That is one perk of having older kids, they sleep in and you don't have to be up early with them. Now once school starts again, that is a whole different pain in the butt. Its after 11 and Sadie and Wyatt are still sawing logs.

We stayed up all night to ring in 2008 down in Casa Grande. We did the usual activities of making pizza, playing games, doing a puzzle before the clock strikes 12 (it was done by 10 pm this year, awwww) and a few new additions which mainly included playing the Wii. The kids had a ball. We had originally intended on using it for a Guitar Hero competition, but something was up with the sensors and it was not working quite right so we let the kids take over on Wii sports. I missed having Cade and Mark there, it just wasn't the same. I know Cades cousin missed him too, they usually play pool on the back patio all night. He'll be back today though, and Mark has tonight off work, so we will be kickin it here at the house and playing Playstation all night with our kids and whoever wants to come over and hang.

I didn't get many pictures last night, I took a lot of video though. Heres the kids eating their custom made cheese pizza (eye roll) after screaming through the desert on a super fun freezing cold Rhino ride. Thanks Adam for taking so many kids out on it!

This is Wyatt and Dayton totaly in love with baby Jones, I think they would love to have a baby around to play with. Oh well, sorry :D He sure was adorable though!!

So it was a really fun night, a scary drive home but we made it. I called Mark after I got the kids settled in bed and I could hear the relief in his voice knowing we were home safe. We saw some scary drivers on the freeway coming home and saw lots of cars pulled over by the cops. I was glad we went down though, it's always nice to catch up with family. Happy New Year!

Fitness: did my first Afterburn session yesterday...it kicked my trash all over the gym. I'm sore today in a good way. I'm bummed the gym was so crowded, but it will die down soon I'm sure. The next 16 weeks are gonna be awesome!
