Reverse-freeday effects

Warning TMI:

Its no secret that my eating has been a little "off" (gross understatement) and I have finally hit rock bottom again and realized that my tummy is pudgy and my butt is more dimply. Yikes. I found the whateveritis to get back on track for real today. So that is definetly having its effects on my digestive system. Very strange happenings in the bathroom, for sure. Apparently my body forgot what a hydrdated intestine functions like. Lovely. Its OK, I can deal with it. We are gonna see what a 3 week timespan can recover. I don't hope to improve on what I had done, but I do fully expect to regain to some level what I had. I really worked the gym today. And eating has been spot on.

I had to put on the dreaded first bathing suit in public of the season. Although I may have seemed fine to the other people I was with I just wanted to tell everyone "I used to much leaner, I promise!!!" But that would be even stupider so I had to just sit there and say "thanks" to the usual "you look good" crap. Luckily it was a family thing, so who cares, right?? Fact is though, that its soon to be well over 100 degrees here 24/7 and to keep them from annoying me (and thus sparing their lives) I must take the kids swimming daily in public(since we have no pool) and bathing suits will be a daily occurrence. How's that for my focus?? And many of these pool outings will be at the local jr.high where I will no doubt run into many people I know, and I can't be all cellulite-y, now, can I???

Tomorrow is the last day of school.........dum dum duuuuum

Chaos, Girls, and Parties!

It was certainly a whirlwind!! Friday I spent doing no less than 2 things at once. I hate days like that. It was beyond crazy. And expensive. I had to make lists to keep track of my lists!! LOL Sadie had the best birthday party ever, though of course. The little girls were so very cute! There was the usual drama, and only 4 of them spent the night. Of course after the fact I found a thing on slumber party tips that would have helped. The best one I thought was to be sneaky and turn all the clocks ahead 2 hours so that at 10 you can say"look, you guys, its midnight, time to go to sleep". At their age, that would have worked. I'll remember that. And then to sit in the room with them for 10 minutes, they will be settled down for sure, if not asleep by then. That was a good idea too.

I made them chocolate covered strawberries cupcakes with creamcheese frosting and maraschino cherries on top, which looked so glamorous!! LOL We got their nails painted at a salon, picked up Panda Express for dinner, went home and ate it. Learned Chinese jumprope, had a dance party, played on the trampoline, I painted all their toes in a french pedicure, then had cake and presents. I think between the nails and the fact that I let them drink Diet Coke, they were pretty happy. Hung around some more then I turned on High School Musical for them to watch to go to sleep. Yeah right. I finally had to turn it off around 12 so they'd settle, when Sadie decided to be a drama queen and went to her room alone crying, mad at me. Oh well. I was TIRED!! Mark got home and we finally just went to sleep. I think they were still up but being quiet.

The next morning was early pick-up because It was Sadie's baptism, which I will blog about on my Lamb family blog, since its a total church thing and I need to update that anyway. It went great. We came back to the house and the Family all came over for sub sandwiches, potato salad and chips. And more presents. It was a nice time. Then Mark and I pretty much crashed. So now the house is demolished, I am demolished and the bank account is demolished but its over now, time to rebuild. And lots of good memories were made, right??

HUGE sigh of relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!!!!! I had about 3 of them yesterday. Here we go smallest to biggest:

Got Sadies room done by the time she got home from school. YAY me!! I got a bit nit-picky and did things like put a damp towel on a broom and wipe down the walls near the ceiling and clean her fan. I mean the place got completely overhauled. It looks great and feels even better. I love it. I"m one step closer to whatever it is I'm trying to accomplish.......(?) LOL

Started mt period...ok ok you all were right! :P But to be fair the last month my body just up and decided to move my cycle up exactly one week, after about 3 years of starting on the first of the month. What the......? And now its a little too close to comfort to cruise time, when before it was no worries, now I will be all pms on the stupid cruise. I won't get the mood thing,( because there will be a smoragsboard of food not to be believed, and , well, I'll be cruising) but the BLOAT!!! I want to say though, I have NOWHERE NEAR the freakishly horrible pms that some of you poor souls experience, but I do get noticably thicker in the midsection sometimes. DAMN it!!!

Drumroll please..........We bought our Airfare for the CRUISE yesterday!!!! HALLELUJIA!!!!! It has been so stressful, Mark has been working his A$$ off(and must continue to do so) but we found tickets and actually bought them. For a while there we had a smoking deal, but we lost out because we had to wait 1 more day. As it was though, we ended up paying a little over $500 all together because we had some credit with Delta. I think thats pretty good. Oh man, what a relief! I've really been sweating it. And I've been not letting myself get too attatched to this trip just in case we had to bag it, which we almost did a couple times. I KNOW thats why I haven't been able to focus on getting my eating on track, it was just a defense mechanism. I know in a perfect world I could tell myself to just do it anyway just in case I DID go, but that mental barrier is tough! Mark really came through for us yesterday, he spent a good hour mabye more getting the tickets sorted out. I swear he just charms the people into giving him what he wants. Last time he bought tickets he made friends with the airline girl and she sang him a song over the phone. LOL this time I could hear them laughing. Its so funny. Really, though, Mark is definetly the superhero of the month for that one!!!! Which is good for him because Superheros get all the sexual favors that they want!!!

Which brings me to being back on TRACK. The first thing I thought this morning was " no more stupid excuses, I HAVE to do this. I can make lots of progress before we go. I'm doing it!" I have to admit, I saw Lori's arms yesterday in her new pic and it pissed me off. NOT at you, Lori, at ME! Damn it I should be at 16% BF but I'm not. I'm so mad at myself, but I'm not out yet. There is still lots of time. I'm gonna work my ass of and get my eating plan done. End of story. Now wheres my freaking water????

Life and stuff

Things are going OK. I had a meltdown last week, I'm still not all there but I'm just trying to force myself to get it together. I realized that there is only 5 school days left in the year so any projects I want to do in peace (well as much peace as you can get with a 3 and 4 year old, as opposed to all of them runnng around) I have sucessfully transferred all 4 boys into 1 bedroom, so far its working well but that was a full day project. I went through the rooms with a fine tooth comb and got every little toy, game, and article of clothing organized. I got rid of so much that they aren't even crushed for space in the 1 room. I have turned the now vacant room into our office/workout space/scrapbooking room. I can't wait to get the computer and office stuff out of my bedroom. I just have to figure out my cable connection, how am I going to move that?? Do I hear cha-chinging in the background??.....

Next project completed yesterday was cleaning out my closet and masterbath. Got rid of lots of clothes, old makeup, organized my jewlery,(haha thats a joke) I mean everything. I keep getting rid of clothes, but not buying any new ones. I hate my clothes, I could seriously have the what not to wear people come in and throw it all out and never look back. Anyway, now that is done, it feels good. Today is tackling Sadies room...GULP. It will take me as long to do her room as it did to move the boys and do their 2 rooms. Why are girls such pack rats?? Well the upside is that 3/4 of it is gonna be garbage, because she will be at school :> Has to get done, becasue it is her birthday party this weekend and she's having a sleepover. Her party is friday night, her baptism is Saturday morning. It's gonna be crazy. Really fun though. My grandma is making her a special dress to wear for afterwards. She had a fitting yesterday, its so beautiful! Anyway that is my plan today. Work out, clean her room.

On the fitness front:
My workouts have been so awesome! Really, I am still sore all over and I have been working really really hard. Eating has been pretty much terrible. :( What is the problem??? I can't seem to wrap my brain around what I need to do. I put on my suit last night to evaluate myself and I was quite dissapointed. SO bloated and "full" looking. I'm once again addicted to the Diet Coke. I feel like I need it to do these big projects which is total bull but thats what I tell myself. I will have a good breakfast thsi morning, just because I really can't eat cold cereal anymore, at least not the crap we have. Sugar in the morning is just not worth it to me. Now sugar in the afternoon, is a different story. :D I'm gonna get through the weekend and get me some ThermodynamX and get serious for the last couple weeks before I leave. Hopefully at least my stomach bloat will have time to deflate in 3 weeks.

Well I better get to work. siiiiiiiiigggggghhhhhhh.

VIDEO!!!!

Well I'm going to try anyway. I was in Thatcher again this weekend and I got to train with Steve again (woot!) more detail on that later. I had my little sister take some video of the smith machine workout I was talking about in my post the other day so I am going to try to load it on there. I have no clue how to edit so it not in the right order or anything but hopefully you can see what I'm talking about. Also I only did 5 or so reps for each different thing, you are supposed to do as many as you can before moving on. My camera battery was low so I was trying to hurry.

Its down there on the "booty shrinker" post.

Guess what??

Did you know that if you workout really hard every day for over an hour at the gym but eat sporadically and junk-ily that you will still gain weight?? HUH! Did you also know that it is possible to have sore butt and thighs and still gain fat on them at the EXACT same time?? Who'd a thunk it??? AND, your thighs can become firmer and more toned and your butt and boobs can grow fatter at the same time??? Now hold on to your bloomers, here is the biggest revelation of all.......during all this, you can get a great tan, get crazy amounts of housework done and be depressed at the SAME TIME!!!!!That is just plain WIERD!!!!

Booty shrinker :)

Video Hosting - Upload Video - Video Sharing

The biggest things about it are this: Make sure you form is good, i.e. stick your butt OUT FAR as you can, dip LOW(bend as deep as you can) and slow, and don't stop at the top or bottom, your like a piston up and down smoothly with no stopping at the top or bottom. AND focus your head upwards, chin way up. OK here we go.

I had 10 pounds on the bar (5 on each side) plus the bar on the track is 15lbs, so 25 lbs total.

First: Get your shoulders under the bar and flip the hooks back. put you feet together out far in front of you as you can.(to get your balance) Your body will be in sort of a piked position. then lunge your left leg back behind you as far as you can, using the bar for stability. You should feel a stretch in both thighs. then push off with the back leg and pop it up to your chest.Point you toe. Squeeze you butt the whole time. Do about as many as you can, repetitively on the same leg, and do as many reps as you can. (I'm at about 10-15 before I about give out) make sure you are looking up toward the top of the wall in front of you. Then do the other leg. Rest a minute or 2 then repeat. Just do 2 sets.

Second one: Same deal except when you lunge back, cross your leg behind you SLIGHTLY (not a lot) and make sure and squeeze hard in the lunge position. Like a curtsy lunge, but not a large degree of crossing. if that makes sense. Again with the knee to chest. As many as you can, then repeat.(2 sets)

Third one: Hahaha. :)Legs WAY out in front again(pike position) but keep your legs together. Stick your butt out as far as humanly possible and squeeze your knees together, and bend as deep as you can. Like you are sitting back into a low chair. In Hell.:) So basically a close legged squat. Don't stop at the top or bottom, you are a piston. Look UP and do as many as you can. 2 sets.

Fourth: Basically the opposite. Legs out in front, pike position but spread your legs apart(ignore the men staring at you) FAR as you can, on a smaller rack your toes will be touching the bottom of the rack. Toes and knees turned OUT. Squeeze your butt and squat. Stick your butt OUT. You can push your shoulders back on the bar for support. (dont forget to look up)Do as many as you can, then rest and repeat.

Fifth: Basically a lunge in place squat. Front leg way out, back leg way back, look upwards, and bend till your back knee is almost to the ground and then when you straighten up kind of push up onto the tip of the toe of you back foot (and your squeezing all this time). You may be gripping the bar for dear life, its OK. Just pulse up and down in a continuous motion as many reps as you can, the switch legs, then repeat. 2 sets

There ya go for session #1. I did this and then a few other things, but this is getting a little long. I hope I explained it well enough. Today I felt like I was doing a HIIT while doing this. Nice sexy tomato face. The first time I did it my legs were on fire and hard as rocks. Also, these can be done every day. The lunging should actually be done every day. (this is according to the freestyle program) The theory behind it is basically by overtraining the butt and thighs it will shrink. I am going to be testing this theory, of course. He was showing me the little parts on my butt and hips that were shaking while I was doing these and he's like "if its shaking, you are hitting it just right" so I'm like "woo hoo!"

Anyway whoever tries it you better give us all a report! My report so far is 2 thumbs up! And nobody better get hurt, only do this if you are experienced with the smith machine and make sure your form is REALLY good, K???

My getaway weekend

As much as I'm sure you would LOVE nothing more than for me to put up another 25 tidbits of info about me (I will later, I actually thought of a few good ones)I had such a cool experience this weekend. Of course, right now I'm in a semi-concious carb induced coma, so the edge of excitement has worn off a little but its all still good. :D

OK so I go to court, everything was cool, I got a small fine(out of a possible thousands, I owe 100, so good news)anyway, got that over with. I went to my moms gym to meet with this trainer guy named Steve. I've been around the workout thing long enough to know for myself if this guy was a quack or what, so I'm keeping an open mind and staying positive. If nothing else I'll get a different workout, right?? I'm a tad skeptical on the whole idea that he trained figure comp girls, but OK I'll just listen. Well, let me tell ya!!!! This guy is actually dialed in!! He put me thru a killer smith machine workout, a lunge circuit based on "freestyle"(haha I totally thought of Teresa, and was glad I could say I had read up on that program) but he'd added a couple things. He also showed me tons of lower body cool stuff to do with cables and ankle straps. Friday afternoon we worked for an hour and a half. It was REALLY GOOD!!! We did a little abs. He was so cool about having me write everything down so I could put it together and do it all on my own. He showed me some awesome lunge variations. He really got me pumped, but wasn't all cheesy or anything. He was quite impressed with my form, and my calves. AND he would not let me pay him. SO he's like "hey, I'll be here tomorrow morning at 10, come on down and I'll show you a bunch more stuff."

So Saturday I go back (even though I was SORE) and he showed me a track circuit, and more cable stuff, and this other KILLER butt exercise. I was there for 2 hours. It totally rocked. His eating advice was right on too. He knows I pretty much know what to eat, just doing it is the thing. Heres the other thing, He trained a few girls at a time, so both times I was there I saw in person some of his clients, and I must say it was pretty good. They had all lost lots of inches and were in good shape. It was a little surprising to see them, I mean, its a LITTLE TINY town, and there was one 40 somethig who looked GREAT. Her 6 pack was truly impressive. On saturday I met "the Legend", LOL she 63, works out 4-5 times per week, she was totally hanging with me on the track circuit. Shes been training with Steve for 2 years. Its funny, this gym reminds me of like the gym Mr. T in Rocky 3 would have trained in. EVERYthing is duct taped. LOL even some of the treadmills. The stuff is super worn, and Steve had "made" a big step thing (yes, covered in duct tape) but hey, it works. The leg press sled when you use it actually grinds a little and sounds like an actual snow sled. LOL So it ain't pretty, but it gets the job done, for sure.

Here is the guys deal, from what he's told me and my mom has said. Hes a single dad (2 daughters)and just wanted to scale everything down (bad divorce)so he moved to this area. He has trained girls for a bunch of different comps (I saw the run down, I'll have to google him and get it all) but a lot of it was back in the Met-Rx days (hes' got great respect for Bill Phillips) He told me this "Some people are competitors, some people train those competitors, and there are few men who can really train women properly, but I found I have a knack for it and I love to do it, its my life passion" I THINK he may have been his ex-wifes comp trainer. He charges 5 DOLLARS a session per person, and will have 3-4 girls going at one time. My mom asked him how he even can make ends meet on that little amount, he says he barely cuts it. His car is a total junker, he just loves the fitness thing. He told me it really frustrates him when people complain (who are these idiots???) about the $$ or whatever, they just don't know what they are getting. Anyway, it was cool. I have to go back next weekend for my sisters HS graduation, so I am gonna train with him friday afternoon and saturday am again. They go to the college fotball field every morning at 6 during the week, I wish I could do that but its 2 and a half hours away, I just can't get there. I was totally impressed with him. It was cute he called all of us "champ" (i.e. "come over her a minute champ, this one I want to show you is the BOMB") It seem s funny but it was actually quite motivating the way he said it. Plus he not all secretive about all the stuff he showed me, he's like "hey if someone you know needs help show them some stuff, it all works so good" SO I may have to share one new lunge or squat a day so you guys can try them. Also, if I work it every day till the cruise I will have great improvement. I'm really pumped!! BTW I am SO SORE!!!!!

Happy Mothers' Day

This one always makes me cry. I love my (step)mom, Ginny and I'm so glad she is one of my best friends. If it weren't for her I would not be anywhere near the person I am. She has been such a wonderful teacher and example to me. She takes care of all of us plus her own ailing mother and I know it is so hard for her to watch her mom age and become dependent, but she does it all with such a giving heart.

All of you moms are heros and you give more to your children than you'll ever realize. Sometimes this is a hard day to celebrate, because some have moms that they don't understand(me), or feel like they are falling short themselves(also me), but lets celebrate our strength as women, because we are ALL mothers, and we have all been given something positive by our moms, whether its an example of how to be or how not to be.

It gonna be OK

I just have a second, its crazy today. I am on my way out of town to see the 'rents and relax. I am still not all OK, I don't really know what I am but I'm surviving. I'll be all regrouped when I get back. I may have to work on my lists while I'm gone, I'll have some computer time. Love you guys!

Plan

I'm not gonna lie, I am STRUGGLING big time. With pretty much everything. I feel like I have mild depression or something. I really can't remember the last time I was in a really good mood. I've been pleased, satisfied, fine, but not more than that. I'm only slightly looking forward to the cruise, mainly becasue what toll it is taking on us financially is barely worth it. I know it will be great, my best vacation ever, but that dosen't pay for plane tickets. I have been totaly off my eating plan, and I skipped my workout yesterday, and I don't feel like going today. I am dressed and going though. I already ate junk for breakfast, so now I feel like poo but I will do better the rest of the day. I have taken into consideration what you guys said about the Ephedra. I do think its part of the problem(had a couple panic attacks last night) but part of it is my life too. I actually a thinking that its not being ON the Ephedra, its taking it one day then not the next, then again the next day. Its too hard on me. I have to make a decision yes or no.

So this is the plan. Yes on the Ephedra, for now, I can deal with it. I need to add caffeine to it(It only has a teeny bit in it) and give myself some freaking energy again. I am also going to look into taking some St. Johns wort, and I will consult my moms health lady on whether I can put all of these things together. Mabye not. But mt sister is taking the SJW and it has helped her a lot. Next partof the plan...I am spending the weekend in Thatcher with my parents and sisters. I have to go because I have traffic court friday afternoon (I don't want to go into detail, lets just say it is VERY VERY stressful)and I've been wanting a getaway for the weekend so Marks keeping the kids all weekend, I'm gonna come home Sunday afternoon. While I am there I am gonna have a PT session with my moms trainer, he trains fitness comp girls and I'd like him to eval. me and mabye shed some light on what I can do to get it together before the cruise. I've seen pics of some of his clients, and he's won awards and such, plus he's super cheap. I need to call him today and set something up there. At least it will get me on track for the week, if I have to meet with this guy I don't want to be all bloated and feeling like ass.

Thats the plansky. I feel so disgusting right now, I want to go hurl my Entemanns up into the toilet right tnow, but I hate to throw up too much. I better drink some water(its been 3 days, but what the hell) and get my self back together.

Spinning my wheels......

Spin spin spin, getting nowhere. Working out crazy, eating nothing then blowing it on ice cream. :PPPPPP Mop the floor, leave the room for a half hour, it all needs to be done again. So that was a waste of basically my whole day since thats all I seemed to get accomplished. :PPPPPP Lots of other poopy stuff. Cade wants to run for Student body treasurer. I am SO not in the mood for that. I'm ticked that my 25 list is so boring. BLEH!!!! I'm sucking wind on my laziness/procrastination/whatever the hell my problem is, I still don't have a grip. Spinning spinning spinning...........

My 25

I have been thinking about what the 25 things that make me who I am too. I am super boring, but here goes.

1. I'm not really much of "kid at heart" kind of gal. I like to have fun, but I'm more of a "teenager at heart" if that makes sense. I'd rather play football with the kids or read to them, rather than play toy cars on the floor.

2.I enjoy Christmas more for its religious aspects, and I love to give presents. The financial part stresses me out though.

3. I was classically ballet trained from age 8 to 14, I performed a LOT on stage and it was very strict and was basically my life.

4. Around 9th grade I decided I wanted to have a "normal" life and go to the mall with my friends and be a cheerleader so I quit ballet and became a teenager.

5. I don't remember looking up to any one person in particlar besides my step mom.

6. My childhood was spent in northern MN where we raised and butchered chickens, turkeys, pigs, and lived borderline backwoods, although my dad made a decent living.

7. I am BIGTIME daddys girl. One winter he made me my own ice skating rink complete with real igloo in out front yard.

8. We moved to AZ when I was 7 and I've been a city girl ever since.

9. My mom left me and my 2 brothers when I was 8 and they were 3 and 5. My dad got remarried and raised us.It worked out for the best.

10.I am DYING to take my kids to Disneyland.

11. I am a big bargain shopper, I love Ross, Target, Big Lots, and I love getting a great deal on something cute for 5 bucks.

12. If I could only shop at 2 stores the rest of my life, they would be Costco and Target. Between the 2, I could spend 10,000 in 1 day. I'm so not kidding.

13. I tried out for Cheerleading 4 times, and never made the team. My senior year I finally made the pom line, which is the cheer squad's slightly less attractive cousin.

14.I have never tasted alcohol, or smoked snorted or inhaled anything besides air.

15.In High school I was the make out queen, but not sexually active. My friends still thought of me as slutty though, and did not treat me very nice a lot of the time.

16. I took piano lessons from age 6 to 16, and became quite good at it. I then didn't touch a piano for about 5 years, and am just now getting my talent back.

17. I have a great love and appreciation for music, including classical(thanks ballet) I love anything if its right for the occasion.

18. I believe there are some people who could be happy and great with many variety of mates, and others who can only make it work with that one certain person. I am of the first variety, I think.

19.My husband is my best friend, and we are just about as perfect of a match as you could have.

20.I am very religious, I attend church every week, and keep the sabbath day holy. However there are many areas spiritually I need to improve on.

21.My first job was behind the coffee counter at Dunkin Donuts. Age 16.

22. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and theres no such thing as a coincidence.

23. I tend to be a bit of a slob. I hate that about myself.

24. I am embarassed of my mini van. I wish I drove a sweet loaded Yukon XL with nice rims. Any color.

25. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, especially my parents and siblings.

Day 1 on the big E

My supplier was able to score me some Ephedra and I tried it today. :P So far I am exhausted and hungry!! LOL Its Maxx fuel som'n som'n. I relly think I'm just tired because I've worked out early 2 days this week and eaten terrible, so its withdrawl time for me. I was so carb/chocolate-comatose, I can't even believe I survived it!! LOL My workout sucked wind this morning, but hey, at least I was there, and I did run sorta. Gee, I cant wait to get my FIRE back!! I read the Buffmother blog, she is amazing!! It really made me realize I can SO do this, and do it well. I HAVE to, because that is what I want. I must do it. I cooked my chicken, potato, all that, and I've had a good eating day. I just have to adjust to the clean again. I can still be where I want to be by the cruise. House is back up to par, good things on the horizon(although distantly) blah blah blah.

FYI There are SO many adjustment I need to make to my links list, I read way more than are on there, some need to get updated, I just haven't felt like doing it. So if you'd like me to link you, tell me, I don't want to miss anybody. Plus, I MUST apologize to dear LYNN (is that the right sp?) my Daaaang girls name has been misspelled forever and I didn't even catch on til recently so I'm sorry abut that and I will hopefully get it corrected soon. I'm a retardo!!! Why didn't someone TELL ME????????

New day

Wow, thanks everybody for the nice compliments and yays! I feel a little down because I have really blown it the last couple days with the eating and have not been feeling very well. Its like which came first, the junk food or the tummy ache?? LOL I haven't felt "right" since I tossed my cookies in my HIIT last week, I keep getting an upset stomach, just a little nagging one that I keep thinking carbs might settle it down. So far not working. I had a decent HIIT this am but my somach hurts now. I went ahead with a egg white/oat pancake but its still hurting a little. I'm getting my list for today done so I can lay down later this afternoon.

I was supposed to have a class this am but only 1 gal showed up and she said she
d just come to the thurs night one instead, which is fine. It really dosen't bother me at all, some weeks are gonna be like that. I got my house all picked up and myself worked out and showered early, and thats great. I just got a lot of extra time today, no complaints here whatsoever!!

Suzanne(bubblz) brought the top 20 list to my attention last night......#1???? ME???? That was the shocker of the year, over here! I was SO not expecting that, and I was just so thrilled! A year ago if I'd known I'd ever even be on the thing I'd have probably cried! I about did last night!! LOL But I printed it off so I could always remember my day in the sun! LOL Really, I am extremly flattered and happy about it. Thanks guys!!!!! It really makes me want to kick ass!!! It just ROCKS!!!
