New show recap and reflections......

I just got finished watching The Bruno v. CarrieAnn Dance War show. Ohhhhh boy I LOVED it!! I was so glued. It reminded of me of the show Fame...it was just all these young raw talent people and the choreography was really fun. They were looking for people who could sing AND dance, it was great. The singing is pretty good, just a teeny bit under American idol, but I am lovin me some Zack!! He is by far my favorite. Cute cute cute, and I even hated his shirt but still loved him. I also totally enjoyed American Gladiators, I missed tonights but I saw Sunday nights' and I was not dissapointed. Comebacks, blood, amazing physiques, and I think the thing I liked best was that they did the same contests that they used to do 14 years ago. It was such a fun memory to watch it like we used to, and the kids thought it was the bomb. Cade is planning to be a contestant, how cute is that?? I think its an awesome thing to want to do.

Speaking of cute.....Sadie got a book of MadLibs from a friend, and she didn't know what it was. Ohhhh boy, was that funny. So we did some, and we were laughing SO hard!! I had get a picture because it is so funny to watch her laugh so hard. We were rolling on the bed, literally!!! I havent' laughed that hard in a long time, it was great.

Tonight she was watching some old movies of when Wyatt was about 2 weeks old, Cooper was 2, and Sadie was almost 4 and Cade was 5. Oh my gosh were they adorable!! Cooper just LOVED Barney and would do the quack quack quack duck song, We were giggling at how hilarious they were. I almost started crying when I thought about how it would feel to hold baby Wyatt like that again and see Sadie flutter and dance around everywhere like she used to. Coopers sweet little morning face eating his pancakes. Oh man, how am I ever going to deal with them growing up?? I'm getting all teary, I must have PMS!!! LOL I'd just love to go back for about 5 hours, that would be so cool. Because then I look at a picture like this:Kids left to right.....Dayton 2 days old (waaaay down over to the left) Cade age 6, Cooper age 2, Sadie age 4, Wyatt age 1.

And I think Ohhhhhh Lordy I have come down one long, serious road!!! I guess what is getting me started on this is that it is such a big year of changes for us with the kids. Cade is getting the priesthood this year, Cooper is getting baptized this year, Sadie Turns 10 this year, and Dayton starts all day Kindergarten this year. I think it is really scarng me how fast it is going and I'm panicking a bit. I just want to stay cushioned between this stage of no babies and no teenagers. Selfish, I know, I can't help it.

Fitness update: Workout today, good cardio. My peak running speeed was an 8.0, I haven't gone that fast in a long while. Eating, well, I'm still on a mediocre track, but I'm feeling better. I am on board!!

What day is it?? and updates

I swear I am so thrown off, I have no clue. I'm all turned around with the sleeping in and the days of nothing specific planned. I'm VERY ready for school and routine. Here are a couple updates on different subjects:

Fitness:
I went the other day and got myself assessed at the gym. I was really dreading the numbers I was sure I'd be seeing. It tells you your "body" age (as opposed to chronological age) and your body fat % (I was REALLY dreading that number-I'm soooo squishy!) Bicep strength, cardio strength and weight. Yikes yikes double yikes. All I wanted was a simple BF% test, but the trainer convinced me to just do the whole thing on the spot.I hadn't had a test done with calipers since high school! I was pretty annoyed at first, but I really ended up liking the trainer. Turns out that she does figure comps on a national level (not sure exactly what that means-she has a pro card?) and she has trained people to do competitions. Uh-oh, knowing someone who actually trains girls is a step closer than I was....ugh!ANYWAY I was expecting to be a body age of about 37+, I was actually 32 ( a year younger than my real age!) and my body fat was -drumroll please.........21%!!!! I was expecting 26 or more! The other really cool thing, was that it showed that I had 122 pounds of LEAN mass and 33 pounds of fat. I was totally shocked! And in a good way. I could lose as little as 20 pounds and be very low fat and happy. Of course that means that the fat I do have to lose will be quite stubborn and I wil have to work very hard and be just about perfect. Bleh. My cardio was pretty weak, but I would expect that as little as I have run this year, and my bicep strength was pretty good. She looked at a typical day of clean eating (my own realistic mealplans of what I actually do eat) and she said I am eating WAY too much dairy, which I already knew but it was good to hear it from someone else. If I ever had the money to get serious and compete I would consider hiring this girl, she wasn't a "fluffy" gym type. It was nice to walk away from the conversation feeling good and not in despair. I guess I haven't fallen off as much as I thought, or mabye I was doing better before than I thought, either way I was wrong in a good way.

I got all my groceries and some more tupperware for my bulk cooking. First I am making Rae's chicken cacciatore soup stuff, I think it looks so good, and a couple precision nutrition recipes.

TV: I am SO excited for all the fun new shows coming up. SO many to pick, thank goodness for DVR! First of all, hello, American idol on the 15th, BIggest Loser already started, I LOVE celbrity Apprentice last night it was so great. I HATE Omorosa. She is just ridiculous. I hate that they even put her on the show with celebrities. We don't need to feed her overinflated ego, people. THen of course is Amazing Race already in progress, and a new Survivor coming in January (I'm prety sure). Then some new ones like Bruno vs. CarrieAnn, American Gladiators, and there has to be another SYTYCD starting sometime soon, right?? THat is all just for network shows, I can't forget about my REAL trash TV like Scott Baio is 46 and pregnant, and Rock of Love 2, I can't miss those. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. But I won't forget the big daddy of all shows, LOST coming back January 31. I really hope the strike is over soon, becuase I need the Office to come back on NOW. OK Its scaring me how many shows I love, but how else do I escape???

Organizing:
Well I havent organized anything since the garage the other day, but I am going to tackle my car next. Tomorrow. Then the closets. January is going to be a PURGE-a-thon. As if I were moving, but not packing up.

Church:
New year, new songs to teach. Tomorrow is Saturday, I better get on that one, huh?? Its nice to have someting specific to work on, its so much easier.

OK so thats the updates, probably not to exciting to most people. Fun times.

Garage purge- And Party On Wayne(party on Garth)

Everyone who drove past my garage today was probably thinking we were moving or something. But NO, I took every last item out and put it on the front lawn (becasue I'm classy like that) and hosed the whole works down. I had already this morning put all the Christmas away so it was all ready to go to its designated spot. I would have taken a picture to show the wonderful clean walls and corners, except it is back full of boxes, and compared to most poeple (ahem, everyone) in my neighborhood it still looks like the beverly hillbilies live here. Seriously, what does everyone DO with all of their holiday decorations?? Mabye I just have too much. Is 9 big boxes and 2 trees too much?? LOL I don't really have a usable attic (that I know of) so stacked to the ceiling it goes. Oh well, its cleaned and labeled and stacked neatly, its the best I can do. 6 HOURS it took, and my hands feel like sandpaper, but I finished. And redecorated my blank house a little. I really love a fresh clean slate.

Last night we had some of Marks cousins and my MIL over for a little game playing and soup. It was super fun. It is fun getting to know their new wives and litle baby Jones. We are really living like rockstars, staying up till all hours and sleeping till 10 every day. Its been almost a week of this, and I am loving it! I do have to actually get up tomorrow, darn it and hit the gym by 9 for some car-dee-OH! It is gonna hurt! I guess mabye living on nothing but Mountain Dew and half a 9x13 pan of dump cake for the last 2 days wasn't such a good idea, huh?? Well NOW the holidays are officially over. Dang it!

I love that my boys REALLY like babies. They just loved this little guy.

Happy New Year!!

I cannot believe it is 2008! Time is going WAY too fast! My week has flown by because I have been sleeping in till after 9 every day since Christmas and so I lose half the day before I even get up!! LOL That is one perk of having older kids, they sleep in and you don't have to be up early with them. Now once school starts again, that is a whole different pain in the butt. Its after 11 and Sadie and Wyatt are still sawing logs.

We stayed up all night to ring in 2008 down in Casa Grande. We did the usual activities of making pizza, playing games, doing a puzzle before the clock strikes 12 (it was done by 10 pm this year, awwww) and a few new additions which mainly included playing the Wii. The kids had a ball. We had originally intended on using it for a Guitar Hero competition, but something was up with the sensors and it was not working quite right so we let the kids take over on Wii sports. I missed having Cade and Mark there, it just wasn't the same. I know Cades cousin missed him too, they usually play pool on the back patio all night. He'll be back today though, and Mark has tonight off work, so we will be kickin it here at the house and playing Playstation all night with our kids and whoever wants to come over and hang.

I didn't get many pictures last night, I took a lot of video though. Heres the kids eating their custom made cheese pizza (eye roll) after screaming through the desert on a super fun freezing cold Rhino ride. Thanks Adam for taking so many kids out on it!

This is Wyatt and Dayton totaly in love with baby Jones, I think they would love to have a baby around to play with. Oh well, sorry :D He sure was adorable though!!

So it was a really fun night, a scary drive home but we made it. I called Mark after I got the kids settled in bed and I could hear the relief in his voice knowing we were home safe. We saw some scary drivers on the freeway coming home and saw lots of cars pulled over by the cops. I was glad we went down though, it's always nice to catch up with family. Happy New Year!

Fitness: did my first Afterburn session yesterday...it kicked my trash all over the gym. I'm sore today in a good way. I'm bummed the gym was so crowded, but it will die down soon I'm sure. The next 16 weeks are gonna be awesome!
