Well all of your positive energy helped because they got the stupid paper and we should be signing tomorrow. I would say something totally snarky here but I am being POSITIVE with my thoughts and energy. :D I'm even taking the question marks down off of the blog title. Hows that for positive??

Happy Father's Day!

Im lucky enough to have an awesome dad and also be married to an awesome dad!! Both of them love their children and families more than anything and are so loyal and loving.

My dad has Cade in Utah right now doing a musical about pioneers. He has gone to great lengths and expense for his passion and love of music and has willingly shared his talents with his children and grandchildren. My dad certainly has his quirks, but I love him and he is a great man. I love being his daughter!




Mark is also a great dad. He is always teaching them how to be, and about his heritage. His is such a strong person, I tell him all th time that e
s really a machine. He just does what needs to be done with a smile. I love him!

The poor girls guide to new furniture

You know how you just get sick of looking at your same stupid furniture after about a decade?? Especially when it is lame-o oak or has been trashed by your kids, and you've moved a bajillion times and just don't want to put old stuff in a new place? Heres your solution......Get out your spray cans......and paint it all one color. I chose black. 2 weeks ago I loaded everything into my garage and started spraying. Now instead of a bunch of random crappy furniture there is at least some sort of coordination. One great tool that I used was this little spray can nozzle that fits over the top of the cans and makes it a comfy trigger sprayer instead of having to push down on that little button and give yourself a hand cramp by your 3rd can. It was totally worth the 3 dollars. My armoire turned out awesome, I got some sweet crystal-like knobs for the doors that will look really good. I did the boys bunk beds, 2 side tables, 2 picture frames, Sadie's metal twin bed, and some metal candleholder thingys. The Armoire took me about 1 1/2 hour one day, and the rest of the stuff took me about 3 hours.






I still have to finish up the one bunk bed, I ran out of paint. For about 30 dollars in paint and about 4 hours of my time I will have 12 freshened up pieces to use in the new house. Which we are still waiting on papers for. I have a lump the size of a softball in my stomach.

ANYway........

Just be aware that if you are wearing flip-flops while spray painting, eventually your feet will become completely blackened from the overspray. You might have to go get a pedicure afterwards. :D

Hey peeps We're back from Missourri!

We had such a fun trip!! We ended up driving straight through.....20 HOURS!! I know, we are crazy kids. Well, more like impatient. :D We drove home straight through too. We did lots of fun things, and relaxed too. We saw some great Church History sites, including Adam-ondi-ahman, and Liberty. For some reason I didn't get the pictures I sent myself by e-mail so I'll get Jen to resend them. We relaxed by the pool, I got a massage where my SIL works, we took the kids to a movie, all sorts of stuff. It was great rainy stormy weather most nights which was fun and I soaked up all the moisture I could before coming home to the dry oven. The kids had a great time. They rode the go-cart over their 5 acres pretty much nonstop all week. The dads took the boys to a KC Cheifs autograph signing and open practice on Saturday. They loved it! The only mishap was Cade running the go-cart full speed straight into a tree and knocking out a bottom tooth and jacking up his face a little. I'm sure he had a mild concussion, poor guy. But I guess he learned his lesson not to be reckless on a motorized toy. The only things we missed doing were Jen and I eating at Panera Bread (I'm really bummed, but we kept forgetting and then we were out of time!) and it was rainy pretty much every night so I don't think the kids really got to catch fireflys. O well, that just means there are fun things to do next time we go! :D It really was a great trip, the kids had fun and so did the adults!!

And now......back to reality. Unpacking, packing and paper work are on the schedule today.

EDIT: Have I ever mentioned that buying a house SUCKS?????? I want to rip all my hair out and then curl up in a ball in the dark until these papers are signed. If I was a drinker, this would be a good night to get wasted. Seriously. Its going to happen, but not before I have an ulcer the size of a volleyball. Mark and I both wasted our entire first day back on the phone, faxing, e-mailing and phone calling. I started this morning at 7 am with checking and printing e-mails, and it's not over yet at 4 pm. BLURG!!!
