I hate Saturday chores

And I don't even have to do them. I am trying to be a good parent and make my kids do their chores. I'm usually really bad about just giving them one or 2 minor things to do and doing the rest myself, but after being told I am a terrible parent by my parents and Mark, I decided I better stop micromanging things and let go a little. It is freakin driving me CRAZY!!They just DO NOT understand that they could get what I have given them completely done in less than a half hour if they would just buckle down together and DO IT instead of arguing over whos stuff is who's and stop getting distracted. All TVs and such have been suspended but they just continue to fight and I am so sick of taking away privelges and punishing. I say "lets get it done and we'll go to a movie with dad later" and last about 3 minutes. I"m really trying to stay out of it and let them figure it out but I don't think they are ready to be turned loose to their own cleaning devices yet. I could be done with it all had I just done it myself, but I know that is not going to teach them, and I just want the house cleaned up. So I'm trying to hide in the office (after I had to point out every single scrap of everything that had to be picked up in here....I'ts like they are completely blind to the wrappers and papers). Cade is pretty good about taking charge and getting them to do their stuff, but he gets a little power-hungry and starts yelling at everbody (geeeee, I wonder where he gets that?)Today so far he is doing well at managing the troops. Sadie has been screeching at everyone and bossing everyone around and NOT being nice, so Cooper told her to shut up (not acceptable in this house) and she threw his shoe at him. Then stormed off to her room and pouted.

Bottom line, I'm going to the temple this morning to help my sister (Its her second time) and I want to come home to something that resembles a house, not a garbge waste dump so we can be happy. I mean I can be happy. Then Mark wants me to make this special pistachio ice cream dessert for work tonight and he wants to take the kids to do something as a family today like a movie, so my day is now booked until the swim party tonight. So much for lazy Saturday.

Life in general and SYTYCD!

I know, same crap different day. Actually I am doing pretty good with everything, as usual the more I have to do the more I get done....to a point. I am very happy we are halfway through hell month for Cade's football, its mon-fri 6-9 (with driving and all)and this saturday we don't have ANYTHING to do. Well I mean the kids don't, I do but I do get to sleep in. I have been working a lot which is good for the pocketbook and Mark has been working a ton too, not just police shifts but side construction too. We are a couple of field hands. We had 2 hours of a break this afternoon while the 4 big kids were still at school so we slipped away for some YC's Mongolian grill. YUMMO!!! And pretty healthy too. It was great. Then I came home and crashed for about 30 minutes. I need that recharge in the afternoon before I get all the kids, or else it's a rough evening.

I still haven't seen the whole finale of SYTYCD. I keep starting it but then having to go do something, I think I only have 2 more dances to watch. I actually think I'm pulling for Danny, just out of sheer fabulousness, but Sabra is just awesome AND cute as a button, and I LOVE it that she has only been dancing 4 years and is this awesome. And my honest opinion here: Although I think the dancing is better this season (by a lot) the choreography and personalities aren't as good as last season. They can top him dance-wise, but nobody will be as cool and just plain awesome as Benji! Nothing this year wowed me like Sexyback and Rama Lama did last year, but mabye thats because it was all a new thing last year or something. There are some AMAZING dances this year too (the devil and the angel, and the hummingbird and flower to name a couple...oh and the Mia Michaels one with the goggles)Some dances have grown on me, like the goggles one, and the freaky 50's/80's suspender dance. I also loved the Rhumba from one of the first weeks....the song was by Ciara or somebody and it rocked. Anyway, that is my take on it, I love the show, it has been a very fun season. :D

Dayton had his first week of preschool. He was so excited. He loved it, mostly becuase he got to be with his buddies Brody and Bailey. It made it soooo much easier. The first day he came home and told me "Mommy, I have a wonderful teacher." How cute is that?? I hear him in the other room right now singing "we are the dinosaurs, marching, marching..." LOL

ANyway, tonight is football practice of course, we are taking pizza out there to eat and we could probably cook it on the sidewalk, its hotter than Hades today. I think it was 113 on my car temp gauge. I mean its HOT. Plus we get our cool car decals for our team, they are cool. Go Dawgs!! The boys don't seem to mind the heat, they are crazy! Our other (stupid!) fundraiser has been a box of 50 huge chocolate bars we are supposed to sell for a dollar a piece. I've only had a couple, but like I need a box of 50 huge chocolate bars sitting in my kitchen. I'm sending a bunch with Mark to work tonight and try to get rid of them!! The kids went and sold some tot he neighbors and had SO much fun. They sold 8 and were so proud of themselves. Anybody who knows us that want some, please come buy some, they are good but I don't want them!!! LOL

Lotsa stuff

Today I got back to the gym and did a pretty good HIIT. I am absolutely miserable in my body right now. I told Mark last night I feel like I'm wearing a fat suit. It feels so unnatural and icky. He says sarcastically "hey, you should get a gym membership!" Punk. Like he can talk. Then he says he lets his stomach hang out on purpose so that people will think he's just a regular guy and he won't intimidate anybody. It was something like that. hehe what a goof. I talked to Maddy about doing a biggest loser with some people (um Jill and Casey, I don't think you guys qualify...you have to have excess fat ;) But whoever wants to can do it with us. We haven't officially started yet but I'm not waiting, I had to start today. I may have to go back to the Dr. and get my prescription fat burner to jumpstart me and get me through the fall/holidays like last year. It worked so good.

Tomorrow Dayton starts preschool 2 days per week. I am already so sad! He has always been my little buddy, and he is just getting so big! There is something about he last one that is just, I don't know. I will for sure be choked up tomorrow. We met his teacher and he is carpooling with 2 friends so he should be fine. I promised him we'd go find him a cool backpack and snack box this afternoon. He got his folder at meet the teacher and has been carrying it around ever since.

Today is my day for babysitting co-op so its housecleaning and laundry day. Gotta get ready for the week! Monday and tuesday are my down days to get prepared for the crazy rest of the week/ weekend, so I try to keep things chill and get geared up. Mark is working for his friend Mike today anyway so I have some time to focus on the house. So I guess I better go focus on it, huh?

Tick tock!!

I just realized I only have about 6 weeks till my birthday!!! Yikes! I can't be feeling this fugly when I turn 33, it will be a birthday-suicide!!! LOL How much poundage is realistic to shed in 6 weeks? 10?? OK, I'm going for 10. 15 would be great, but I'm OK with 10. Gym tomorrow, groceries on friday........I can't wait to get back on it!! For my birthday I am asking Mark for a microdermabrason facial. My face is like the grand canyon filled in with tar. No really, I think I'm getting Rosacea, its getting worse. My pores are craters and my broken capilaries have about doubled in the last few months. Yucky yuck. I'm like one big blackhead. Ew. Thank goodness for Bare Minerals!

Other than my skin, things are good :D
