Owwwwwww

I went to the new gym today. In case you're wondering it is Lifetime Fitness and it is quite the place. I'd been before with friends and totally loved it (whats not to love about marble, glass and beautiful people??)So I took a class that a couple friends said was a killer, the traditional total body conditioning. Yeah, more like total body annihalation!!! YIPES!!! This poor bod has barely broken a sweat (for exercise, anyway ;) in more than 6 weeks, and I knew it was gonna be a real shocker, and boy was it ever. We did tons of everything, it was an 80 minute class for cryin out loud. I was mentally prepared but now every single fiber of my body is yelling at me! I didn't even try to over do, I used very light weight (cuz I know ther'd be a zillion reps and there was!) But hey, bod better get used to it because playtime is OVER. I'm signing up this weekend and its back to business.

Then Mark calls tonight at about 9:30pm. Seems he forget to mention that he had voluntered to bring chicken enchiladas to work tonight, its his first night out in a car by himself, no more field training!! WOOT! Luckily I had everything on hand and whipped up a couple pans and took them over. Had he told me I could have had them ready before his shift, but he forgot, so they got there a little late, but very fresh. :D It was cool to see him pull up to the thing in his own cruiser, I'm so proud!! I went in and met some of the guys, I knew some of them already, it was cool. Geez though talk about a loooong hiring process. 1 year ago he put his first app in, and now tonight he's official. It has been a really good experience. We have all learned a lot. Then as I was leaving he got a call and took off in a hurry, my stomach flip flopped a little seeing him drive off all alone to go take care of whatever it was. Just a bit unnerving. I'm just so super proud of what he has accomplished. He was one of the first ones to be released on his own, the rest of the guys have to do a little more training. Yeah baby, you rock!!

I'm supposed to be cleaning for this party Friday, but I just can't get into it. Hence the blogging and the cheerful late-night cooking. I'm really gonna regret it tomorrow if I slack tonight, but I'm wiped out. I'm seriously considering having housecleaner people come in on friday morning and do it. I just have way too much other stuff to plan and food to get and assign out. I think it would be worth it. I'm gonna look into it tomorrow. That could be fun :D

Hey- and happy Easter

Naw.....It wasn't chaotic at all!!! :P
Still crazy busy, still tired. Family is now all gone, we had a lot of fun though. Time to pick up the pieces and put it all back together. I'm taking it easy today, (well, I'm taking it easy while I babysit and drive kids around)Its just a less intense day. Should be able to rejoin the gym next week, which makes me happy. I may try to call the guy back today and get a couple days worth of passes and go try it out tomorrow and thursday. I'm so fricken out of shape I can't even imagine what it will feel like to get on a treadmill.....scary. Plus this is the kind of gym where I will want to have some decent workout clothes, and I need shoes. I was playing around with my BILs Sunday night and we had a bench press "contest". I put up a couple reps of 95 lbs, which was not bad considering I havent' lifted in like 2 months. I can't wait to get back to the land of the living! I'm back to fluffy bloated lethargic me and I hate me like this. All I want to do is take a nap and that does not work with my crazy life. Its way past time to start getting some goals churning around in my head. One of the objectives will be finding that happy place where your lifestyle changes PERMANENTLY and I never see the 140's again. E V E R.

Update

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY!!!! I am exhausted, and there is no end in sight. And I'm getting fat. Between yesterday and Sunday I will have done talent show tryouts (Cade), a baptism (I was in charge of putting together) Easter, Marks grandmas funeral (everyone coming from out of town-and my FIL staying here..the rest of the crew gets in tonight) Coopers birthday, football practice and first game, my babysitting job, doing hair appointments, and then all the normal stuff like trying to keep my house together, easter things for preschool, Mark working graves all week so he's sleeping all day, it has been IN-sane!!! Looks like things will be calming down about wednsday of next week.

Last week was bad with old business stuff stress, a real gut-wrencher. Looks like next week might be more of that, but I'm trying to stay away from it and let Mark handle it. I am DEFINETLY going to join back up at the gym. I'm gonna go to a different one though, I really need a change of scenery. I have to have somewhere fun to take the kids during the day while Mark sleeps, and the gym makes the most sense. I can't wait to get back on track. Its my therapy and I can't put a price on my inner peace and happiness. It might be a month or so before I can do it, so I will try to do my best until then. Honestly right now I just have to make it through this crazy weekend and just have as much fun with it as I can. I love when my SIL comes to visit we always have a good time. I hate it that I'm ginormous right now and not looking my best, but oh well, not much I can do about it at this point. It sucks that I have to see just about everyone in Marks ENTIRE family at this funeral and I'm all muffin-top and wide-load. :( I'm trying not to think about it and dress as flattering as possible. Don't count me out just yet, I'm still in the game, just on the sidelines for a bit.

my wake up call

We got our first invite to the pool the other day....fear struck my heart. As much as I want to rejoin the gym,I can't right now, but I must start right now. I oput on a suit and sat by the pool, but kept my shirt on and didn't get in. Now that is NOT the kind of mom I wanna be. That is so BORING. I can even pinch fat on my CALVES right now, thats when I know its getting really bad. Also, my neighbor asked if as gonna run the Pat Tillman run in April, which I had plannned on so I told her we could do it together. No treadmill in sight for me ( I inherited my dads procrastinations issues...who knows when I'll see it) which means I need to hit the streets. I checked out Cardio Coach online, it looks like just what I need. 30-40 minute interval training in my MP3 player. I am willing to run outside, I just have a hard time pushing myself and keeping track of my minutes and stuff. I think this would be perfect for me. I can do my training AND my challenge together, all for 14.95. I listened to some samples, it sounded really good.

So this is what I'm back to, I still want to do my home gym challenge, I am gonna start hanging out on tracker again, and my goal finish time is going to be before I go on our big missouri trip in July to visit family. I'm not quite ready rightthis minute to start, but I will be VERY soon.
