Killin time

I could not get back to sleep this morning, layed there from 2 am till 3:15 then just gave up. No chance of a nap later today either, dang it. I'm hanging out now in the office waiting for Marks alarm to go off so I can go get changed and do a workout. SOMEone should get some sleep around here. So far no luck on the treadmill. My neighbor across the street who is a good friend of mine has one, I just don't want to ask, I feel stupid. I already am borrowing their select tech dummbells (woo hoooo!!!) and I don't want to be the annoying neighbor who is always needing something (which I already pretty much am LOL)so I'll see if anything else turns up. I know my dad used to have a pretty good treadmill, who know if he still has it or if it even works. My best guess would be tht he has it and it needs a tune up. Its definetly worth looking into though. I'm shamed to admit this will be my first really good full official workout of this challenge. I refuse to restart though. Im mid-week 2. I can still gain some serious momentum. I need a to do list for today, and some things in my mind are not adding up for today, gotta make some calls.

4:30-5:30 workout
5:30-6:30 shower, pick up house, get kids up, eat
7 Cade to school
7:30 other kids to school
7:30 to 9 gather laundry for laundromat, feed boys, clean out car
9 go get grandma and give her a perm
11 pick up kids form schoool (early release, dammit)
11:30 feed kids, get homework done, control chaos, make Sadie clean her room, make boys pick up backyard, pump bike tires with fix-a-flat
1:30-3 take older kids back to school for student-led conferences(note-get babysitter)
3-4:30 Laundromat( fill out Wyatt/Daytons b-day party invites while there)
4:30 -6:30 pick up house, get dinner made, send kids to give out invites to the neighborhood friends...take the rest to the church meeting
7 pm------major conflict: must not miss womens church meeting, or hair client (color and cut plus cut her 2 girls...oops-need to make a couple calls and try to reschedule the hair-although the cash would be nice too..hmmm))
9:30 to 11(ha ha ha) watch DVR'd shows as long as my eyelids will stay open.

This sounds really crazy but I bet its no different than most of your schedules. And guess what..Friday I have NO plans!! HA! yeah, that'll last till noon today then it will be the same tomorrow, just different stuff. Hopefully hair clients.

So now we see WHY I must get in the moning workout mode. I hear Marks alarm..time to get started!! Woo hooo here we go!

Whats up??

Week one is in the books. Not my best but its done, no looking back. I was super duper busy, even for my normal self. My little sister came to visit me by surprise, that was really fun! Hopefully I can figure out new blogger to add her to my links list since she's a blogger now. Woo hoo! I figure she's a big girl, she can handle the real me here in blogland. hee hee. We had a UFC party last night, it was fun. I babysit my 4 yr old neice this weekend, did tons of hair this week, my washer broke so I did laundromat trips twice this week, once for 6 loads and once for 7 loads. GAH! I also did my new babysiting job this week. By thursday I was so overloaded that I literally forgot Wyatt at preschool. I went to pick up the other kids and only had Dayton with me....it took me about 15 seconds of thinking "wait...whats wrong here...I'm one kid short...!!!!" I have to be to Wyatts school early on those days to grab him right on time then rush to pick up the other kids because they ALL get out at the same time and are about 15 minutes away from each other. SO by the time I went to get the big kids and then get back to preshool I was WAY late. Luckily this is the only time that has happened and they are family so it was OK but I still felt like a dummy. So yeah, it was really exhausting.

I did mange a few workouts, and I got my MIL's nice weight bench so that is ready to go for my w/o tomorrow. I am really struggling without a treadmill, though. I am going to put an e-mail out to the ladies at church and see if anyone has a good one that thy are using as a clothes hanger right now that they would be willing to let me borrow for the next couple months so I can get this done right. I am afraid that I am going to have to start getting up early to do the workouts. I just have NO time right now. The time that worked best for me this week was the 1 hour of downtime I had before I had to pick up the kids from school (but as we can see from Thursday, that wan't totally consistent). The only uninterrupted time I will have is the early time. DANG! The up side is that for the next 3 weeks Marks shifts are days, which means he has to be going to bed early/getting up early and that will help if I just get up /go to bed with him, which will be pretty easy. Hopefully the 3 weeks will get me in a nice groove and it will be easier to form the habit. I need good vibes everybody!!! :D

Day 1.... its good to be HOME

Oh yeah I am loving it already!! I just love a shiny new challenge. So fresh and bright. I do feel like this is a good one. Not a lot of hyper excitement, more like...get it done and quit whining and a lot of quiet resolve. I am very proud of the fact that I did go out and get all of the things on my list below, plus planned my meals, and got the food. I have nothing to do today but get everything cooked and prepared and put ito my new tupperware containers. My gym/porch is still a big mess but I can technically still go to the gym for 3 more days so I have time. Its not THAT bad, I could go get it all nice and spiffy in an hour or so this afternoon. Which I probably will since the kids are home I can slave drive them a little. Muaaahahhaa.

My first meal today was wonderful. 4 eggwhites with sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Delicious! And a small orange and water. I'm back to wondering why I stop eating this way, its so great!I am not looking forward to the massive HEADACHE I will have by the end of the day.I can already feel it creeping up since I didn't have my traditional Diet Coke and cookies or Froot loops for breakfast. Blah! It dosen't even sound good at all. Maricar came over yesterday morning and we measured. It was quite horrifying. (for me, at least-she's doing fine :D) I'm not going to stress over it, I just have to get back to work. HARD work. I have to undo lots of mental and physical damage I have given myself over the past few weeks. I am completely re-focused and re-committed!! I got everything on my list below, all my meals planned for the week, and today is the cooking day.I am gonna fill out my packet today as well. Not looking forward to pictures whatsoever. Alright then, time for cooking and playing scrabble with the kiddos today. Feeling very good and positive.

EDIT:
OK made it through day 1 with flying colors. I did SO much cooking, it was crazy!! I made my egg white salad, sweet potatos, brown rice, chicken, cut up veggies, cc/salsa dip, Barilla pasta, and the zuccini oat bars (2 thumbs up on those!). I drank 90 oz of water so far (I'll put down another 60 before bed) and I did have diet coke but its ok for now. I'll get stricter starting week 2. I still need to assemble my Tuna bugers and cook my broccoli but I'm taking a break. I am good to go for this week!! I put everythig on my plan into fitday and will log each day to gauge where I'm at and where I need to improve. LOVE it!!

Strategy

I'm coming up with my game plan and strategy to do my real BFL challenge. The home gym is coming together nicely. My bad eating is totally off the hook, I'd kill for a nice piece of roaasted chicken breast and some asparagus right now. My challenge starts Sunday, which will be my clean eating only (no w/o) and monday is the first workout day. I re-read my book and wrote out all of the stuff he says to, I really like my focus/goals. It feels real to me and it really help define where I'm at right now and where I need to go. Sometimes I think after we've been doing the fitness "thingy" for a long time like so many of us have its very easy to lose sight of our reasons why we are doing it. I was looking back on my old goals, and I've acheived them but of course I'm not even close to where I truly want to be. I am proud that I did make it to this point though. My original goal way back when was to be a comfy size 8 and have shape to my arms. Well I did that. Its now time to get serious and go for the higher level.

Anyway, as it goes right now I'm still stuffing my face with crap and gaining by the minute. Its gonna be a scary detox this weekend. Mark is just as bad he says he's never been in worse shape and his eating is so bad that He was up barfing at about 2am and he is not ill. His body just didn't want to bother digesting all the yuck food. So he's on a diet whether he likes it or not. Everyone has their breaking point, I think he's finally there. So am I. I need to gather a couple things today to be "ready" because I'm pulling out all the stops. Heres my list:

1.Those interlocking foam floor covers from Sams so I can do planks and stuff
2.The color coded little tupperwares (oh yeah, I'm going extreme)
3.Jumprope
4. a rubbermaid box to put all of the timer, gloves, jumprope, etc in so the kids can't get at it
5. Protein shaker bottle for Mark
6. BFL entry packet
7. New notebook to act as my BFL journal
Then I have to get the backyard all tidied up and pretty and organize everything, although I'm still thinking I want to move everything into my office. It will just be tight squeeze. I may have to do some measuring today to see how it would all fit. Some stuff might have to be outside while some be inside. I have a couple ideas of how to split it up. I'm also going to clean out my garden and plant all my veggies this coming week. It will be nice to know that my lettuce and other things weren't urinated on by some migrant worker. EEEEW!! LOL I am also going to blog a litle more and hopefully use some of that to help me with my essay. I'm putting me back on PROJECT STATUS. Nothing comes before my workouts. I give myself permission to be 5 minutes late to things in order to eat a meal on schedule or to pack food ( hopefully I'll be organized most of the time to not have to be late, but lets be real here)

Anyway, that is the plan of attack today. I will do the grocery shopping on Saturday and the weekly cooking Sunday.Oh yeah, and the pictures. Eeeeek. They will be some doozys.
