Another cruise update break.....

I just wanted to report in on how everything else was going. I have really struggled getting back into the swing of life over here. My challenge is going well, though. It finally happened, I got sick. My number was up, for sure, I havent' had so much as a cold in over a year, partly due to the healthy lifestyle, partly due to regular chiro visits. I think I got a stomach thing once last year for 24 hurs, thats it. Pretty good. Unfortunatley this week my luck ran out, and I got PMS, a cold, and add that to coming home to my real life and starting a new challenge(ohhhh, my aching BODY) with all the soda, fat, and sugar withdrawls its been a little rough. PMS week is'nt the ideal week to detox, but on the other hand, just rip it off quick ike a band-aid, right?? Miraculously, I have stuck to my diet perfectly, exept for a couple missed meals due to being asleep. It laso helps that I cna't really taste of smell. I missed my workout yesterday, my head was pounding so bad I could hardly see, but I ate clean. Today I just decided I have to suck it up so I took some Dayquil, I may have to add ibuprophen to that because so far my head is still pounding but I have to get to the gym. I'm gonna walk at a high incline for cardio abd then do LB. Then I HAVE GOT to get unpacked and get this house put back together. Its driving me bonkers. Im actually contemplating a trip to the laundromat, I betcha I have 10+ loads of clothe to wash, I could get it all done in 2 hours and just be done with it. Hmmm, sounds tempting. I also need to get a quote from Merry Maids....(HAHA *snort*)

Cruise-Day 3

I didn't get much sleep the night before, We had to be up and get to breakfast before it closed at 11...:P We hooked up with Jen and Dave and Caroline and her hubby at breakfast, and got one of their walkie-talkies. We found them in Nassau and walked around shopping for souvenier stuff. it was all pretty much touristy crap, and mosto fo the good stuff like shark jaws and shell stuff was too fragile. There was Atlantis to go to, or another resort called Breezes, but it cost like 30 bucks apiece to even jsut go in and sit by their pool, we figured we could do that on our ship anyway, so we had the dollar bus take us over to this street called "Fish Fry".

It came recommended by locals, which is what we wanted, the "real" bahamas stuff. It was pretty good, Mark got Deep fried lobster, I got the grilled Conch, which is a locally caught shellfish. It was a little rubbery, but not bad. I ate it all, anyway so it must have been ok. The company we had was definetly the best part! Then we took the dollar bus back to the shopping area. We ended up shopping in this place called the "Straw market", you know the place all these ports have with the t-shirts, knock-off designer bags, stuff that looks all island-y but really comes from a factory somwhere. We ended up getting the little boys these carved shell turtles on a string, spiderman t-shirts, I got Sadie a couple of bracelets, Cooper got a bamboo whistle thing, and Cade a pirate skull piggy bank. Woo hoo. Then we went back ot he room to shower, change and eat dinner at the buffet(steak tenderloin....YUM) and head out to Senor Frogs.

Mark held the floor in place at the VIP section while I went out and danced. It was fun. I know Jim Shelton has some incriminating video somewhere, I'm a little scared for that to surface!

We had to break up the party at 11:30 and head back to the ship, so we went out to the pool and there was a huge pool party with a barbecue buffet. There were a coupke of pinapple towers(5 feet tall)stuck with hundreds of skewers of fresh fruit, it was gorgeous! Plus of course ribs and chicken and who knows wat else, I didn't make it all the way around. I think there was a taco bar too. I was able to talk to Porter Freeman for a minute, that was cool. It did start to rain pretty hard just as we were leaving port, but that only lasted a couple minutes, because we sailed away from it.

We goofed around kissing our biceps and showing our abs(why I thought that was a good idea after the way I'd been eating and sucking down the Coke, is beyond me)Then went up to the club to shake our Shakiras a litte more. Mark did come with this time, there was only a little while till the club closed down again. Side note was that the DJ was pretty sucky. He had no clue what we were requesting. He played the same songs both nights, which ironically were also some of the same ones that the DJ at Senor Frogs played. I seriously heard the Madonna mix 3 times. I like to Vogue and all, the first ti e its fun, the second time its funny, the third time its annoying. Well, its actually annoying the first time, but anyway.

We closed down the club, then went to bed.

Cruise day 2-this is a long one!

Alrighty day 2 was also super great. We slept like ROCKS. We got up and went up to breakfast, the buffet was good, pretty much every thing healthy and unhealthy you could think of they had. I was partial to the bran muffins, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Apparently there were made to order omlettes, I found this out the last morning, oh well. We went and got in line to get of the boat and and get taken to Cococay, the island belonging to the cruise line.

It was cool though because it was all beachy, tons of lounges and hammocks, everything painted bright and crazy, and the weather was gorgeous. Very picturesque. This was the place that a lot of people did the excursions. We ended up glad we didn't do anything. There was some water-parkish things to do for 20 bucks a person, jetskis, snorkeling, stuff like that, but it was all pretty expensive, and we just wanted to chill anyway. We ended up signing up for the BFL Wacky Olympics. We were just gonna watch everyone else be wacky, but they needed more people so we signed up. Lucky us though we were on the WINning team. We swept the first few events, like put on a wet t-shirt,do 10 rotations with a hula hoop and back, pass shirt to next in line. then there was race around the hula hoop with a balloon between your legs, run with a ping pong ball on a paddle, Ring toss over a soda can in the sand, that sort of stuff. We lost the last few, but our first few wins were enough to keep us in first place. It was fun, but people were definetly competitive! I'm glad we ended up doing it. We got cool gym bags filled with a visor, towel, that sort of stuff, so there was an actual prize. There are many incriminating pictures yet to surface of this event. Yikes!

We played around in the water for a while, then headed out to the big barbecue lunch, ribs, BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the trimmings, plus dessert. YUM! Then we walked around the shops(all "LOCAL" type of stuff)then went back.
We went up to the pool, Mark was antsy thinking bout missing the soccer game so he went to find the World Cup game in the lounge. I stayed out with Lori and Casey, then Lori had a hair appt. for formal night so I sat with Udenia by the pool for a while. By then I was sunned out so I went back and took a litle nap.

Then it was time to get ready for formal night, I had 2 choices, the skin tight gown or the more modest, comfy black dress. I debated for a while, but I went with the less sexy, comfy one. I had gained since I first got the evening gown, and I wouldn't be able to eat anything, I already looked 6 mos preggo with all the eating Id been doing, so I went with the safe choice. I felt bad though, we missed the BFL cocktail party before dinner, but we got in on the big group picture. Then on to dinner. Woo hoo!

Dinner consisted of 2 appetizers(I couldn't decide) 2 entrees, salad, bread by the basket full, and dessert. I can't remember what I had the second night, I know the first night I had a seafood ravioli, but it was small and Misty's prime rib looked good, so I got one of those too. I didn't feel too bad though, Aaron and Candace went to the buffet and ate right before dinner every night, then came and ate with us. HAHA!!! I know the last night I ordered 2 of everything too, even dessert I had the Key lime pie and a big ol brownie. Ahh, so fab. After dinner I think we just hung around, i can't really remember but then we went to the CHOCOLATE BUFFET at midnight. It was actually more like deserts made with chocolate, it sounded a little better then it actually was. Suzanne kept saying "I want globs of chocolate!! Where are the chocolate globs??" LMAO

I went and changed, then went out to the dance club with all the peeps while Mark crashed in the room. We danced until 4 when they finally kicked us out. You know me and club thing, I'm all over it! SO SO fun!!! Some of these guys are gooood dancers! Well 4 was late enough for me, I went to bed but some people went out to the pool. Fun stuff!!!
