Step away from the spreadsheet......

Well that will be impossible...but ya know how an upcoming 'event" gets my mojo flowing like nothing else. What can I say?? I'm a sucker. Mark is the president of the 30-40 something guys at church and we have decided to do a progressive dinner the last weekend in March.Which means I better plan the thing myself, right?? It'll be for about 20 couples, mabye more. There are 7 houses on our cute little street that all are in this group at church with us so this is the obvious choice. I'm pretty sure we're going with a Hawaiian theme and having it catered by a local authentic Hawaiian place. Mark's family has been frequenting Aloha Kitchen for about 17 years now. But yeah, blah blah blah the real thing is here that it gives me somthing to get my butt off the couch and get ready for. I'm getting my carpets and couches cleaned (I cannot express how badly this needs to be done!!!)and for that to happen for some reason my mind tells me that every bedroom, closet, drawer and cubby must be gone through and we need some spot painting again. Plus yardwork, plus plus plus....it all needs to be done before it turns into death valley around here this summer and the trees don't dare move because of the heat. I'm actually thinking of taking every blasted thing off my walls in every room, putting it in a pile and lighting a mat.........no no I mean having my friend Kristi come over and put stuff in a totally new location. She is a decorator and says she has a knack for stuff like that. Her house is lovely so I don't doubt it. I did recieve a gorgeous Armoire from my mom (she didn't have room darn it :) that matches my big white bed, so my master bedroom is lookin perty. I think its time to change the bedding in there again to a more spring-y set. I'll definetly take pics, its gonna look fab.

As I'm rambling on here and getting all excited, I'm thinkin....Mabye all this is what I need to get my fitness going again since I stalled out. Without a big "thing" to do all the time I just get so stagnant in every level of my life. Why is that?? Why can't I just be on top of things for Life's sake, why do I have to have 10,000 things going on in order to get my goals (that are unrelated) accomplished? If I only have 5,000 things to do, that would be more manageable but its not enough. Its like I need an outside focus with a deadline to get anything done. Mabye I'm naturally lazy, but want to prove to others that I'm not so I like these big things to do to compensate. Am I just a lazy overacheiver? A type A wannabe?? Oh well who cares, I'll just make an extensively detailed to-do list for the rest of March and get it done and be proud of myself and call it good. Whatever gets my crap done, right??

On other subjects...Cade is totally kicking butt at tackle football, he's awesome!! 4 days a week of practice is a little rouugh on the gas tank but we'll survive. And the Wyatt/Dayton birthday party at the bounce place totally rocked. 27 kids and 2 hours later, my little guys (4 and 5 now!!!) thought they were the kings of life!! It was like Christmas with all the presents. Pretty pricey for lurps like us, but it was uncommonly good!!!

Those 2 evil words.....

SPRING BREAK!!!! I am about 14 hours into the first day and I'm ready to jump off the nearest bridge!!!! AHHHH! I hate it!!! My friend sent hers to an afternoon day camp for the week, and I'm SO jealous. I wanted to but it was too expensive because of the little boys birthday party tomorrow ($$$$$) and desparately needing my carpets cleaned($$$) and Cade starting football ($$$$$$$$) this month. I have lots of ideas to do with them but I need a little something from them first. If it was just a little warmer we could go swimming, but the water is still way cold. I think I need to just dig in and clean tonight (after they finish picking up) and then we just have to get out the house every day. Or I might kill somebody.

I actually got all of hte stuff I had to do on Thrusday done except the laundry, I did that friday and Friday was just as busy as thursday, and Saturday was a total circus. I was so overloaded I was in bed by 9 friday and saturday nights. My house is a total wreck. I can't get a handle on it with all of these kids here, its such a joke. I did get a "new" washer/dryer but its still leaking a little water so I have to check that out. A guy from church in our neighborhood installs new sets and always has hte ones that he takes away just sitting in his holding place waiting for the "hispanic population" to come take them away every few months or so. Most of them are not broken, just changed out for newer models. I got really nice pretty new Maytag set, WAY nicer than my old set. Hopefully it will keep working. It was so nice of him to do that for me!

This week I have lots of hair, babysitting, the boys party, a girls night out, 3 football practices, and who knows what else coming my way. I'm just going to have to take a break from working out for now, I just can't do it all. There is nothing I can cut out to make room for myself right now, there just isn't. Hopefully by the end of the month things will slow down a little, and I can find a groove. Definetly by the time the kids go back to school in July, things will be a little toned down. I'll have 4 kids gone all day, it will make things a lot better, at least in the daytime. Its really no wonder most moms of many kids are so overweight....its downright nearly impossible to get time every day. I am going to really make the effort to maintain, and try to eat during the day, I'm also considering running around the park that Cade has football practice at 4 times per week and get in some Cardio. I guess it'd be better than sitting there like a lump. I just hate the thought of the other parents and coaches there seeing me run, I'm sure I look like a total idiot, espeially now that I'm so out of shape. And white.

Ok well now I'm gonna get up and try to get dinner made. Cade is at practice with Mark, the boys are at the park doing who knows what but I don't care because they aren't buggung me...and Sadie has a friend over (which I would have said no but I'm doing the mom a personal favor) so its just a little quiet right now. I wanna go lay in my bed and watch TV..but that a'int happening. Its sad when making dinner has to be my Calgon moment!

Killin time

I could not get back to sleep this morning, layed there from 2 am till 3:15 then just gave up. No chance of a nap later today either, dang it. I'm hanging out now in the office waiting for Marks alarm to go off so I can go get changed and do a workout. SOMEone should get some sleep around here. So far no luck on the treadmill. My neighbor across the street who is a good friend of mine has one, I just don't want to ask, I feel stupid. I already am borrowing their select tech dummbells (woo hoooo!!!) and I don't want to be the annoying neighbor who is always needing something (which I already pretty much am LOL)so I'll see if anything else turns up. I know my dad used to have a pretty good treadmill, who know if he still has it or if it even works. My best guess would be tht he has it and it needs a tune up. Its definetly worth looking into though. I'm shamed to admit this will be my first really good full official workout of this challenge. I refuse to restart though. Im mid-week 2. I can still gain some serious momentum. I need a to do list for today, and some things in my mind are not adding up for today, gotta make some calls.

4:30-5:30 workout
5:30-6:30 shower, pick up house, get kids up, eat
7 Cade to school
7:30 other kids to school
7:30 to 9 gather laundry for laundromat, feed boys, clean out car
9 go get grandma and give her a perm
11 pick up kids form schoool (early release, dammit)
11:30 feed kids, get homework done, control chaos, make Sadie clean her room, make boys pick up backyard, pump bike tires with fix-a-flat
1:30-3 take older kids back to school for student-led conferences(note-get babysitter)
3-4:30 Laundromat( fill out Wyatt/Daytons b-day party invites while there)
4:30 -6:30 pick up house, get dinner made, send kids to give out invites to the neighborhood friends...take the rest to the church meeting
7 pm------major conflict: must not miss womens church meeting, or hair client (color and cut plus cut her 2 girls...oops-need to make a couple calls and try to reschedule the hair-although the cash would be nice too..hmmm))
9:30 to 11(ha ha ha) watch DVR'd shows as long as my eyelids will stay open.

This sounds really crazy but I bet its no different than most of your schedules. And guess what..Friday I have NO plans!! HA! yeah, that'll last till noon today then it will be the same tomorrow, just different stuff. Hopefully hair clients.

So now we see WHY I must get in the moning workout mode. I hear Marks alarm..time to get started!! Woo hooo here we go!

Whats up??

Week one is in the books. Not my best but its done, no looking back. I was super duper busy, even for my normal self. My little sister came to visit me by surprise, that was really fun! Hopefully I can figure out new blogger to add her to my links list since she's a blogger now. Woo hoo! I figure she's a big girl, she can handle the real me here in blogland. hee hee. We had a UFC party last night, it was fun. I babysit my 4 yr old neice this weekend, did tons of hair this week, my washer broke so I did laundromat trips twice this week, once for 6 loads and once for 7 loads. GAH! I also did my new babysiting job this week. By thursday I was so overloaded that I literally forgot Wyatt at preschool. I went to pick up the other kids and only had Dayton with me....it took me about 15 seconds of thinking "wait...whats wrong here...I'm one kid short...!!!!" I have to be to Wyatts school early on those days to grab him right on time then rush to pick up the other kids because they ALL get out at the same time and are about 15 minutes away from each other. SO by the time I went to get the big kids and then get back to preshool I was WAY late. Luckily this is the only time that has happened and they are family so it was OK but I still felt like a dummy. So yeah, it was really exhausting.

I did mange a few workouts, and I got my MIL's nice weight bench so that is ready to go for my w/o tomorrow. I am really struggling without a treadmill, though. I am going to put an e-mail out to the ladies at church and see if anyone has a good one that thy are using as a clothes hanger right now that they would be willing to let me borrow for the next couple months so I can get this done right. I am afraid that I am going to have to start getting up early to do the workouts. I just have NO time right now. The time that worked best for me this week was the 1 hour of downtime I had before I had to pick up the kids from school (but as we can see from Thursday, that wan't totally consistent). The only uninterrupted time I will have is the early time. DANG! The up side is that for the next 3 weeks Marks shifts are days, which means he has to be going to bed early/getting up early and that will help if I just get up /go to bed with him, which will be pretty easy. Hopefully the 3 weeks will get me in a nice groove and it will be easier to form the habit. I need good vibes everybody!!! :D
