Project Home Makeover

So I have caught the home project bug really bad. I'm on a mission. I have a lot of stuff about 80% done right now and about 6 things I want to get done this week. Then had to take a little time out for this:

SO today I am the mom and maid and then tomorrow back to the projects. I've stolen a big load of inexpensive ideas off the internet which is great, but usually inexpensive translates to timeconsuming. And I've got some BIG projects going too. I will give you a few little hints as to what I have been up to:

I've been saving tons of money (seriously, like a few hundred dollars already!)so that has been fun but also a little time consuming to get the hang of it, plus I made this sa-weet organizer. This binder holds the ones I know I will use, but the ones I have on my actual purchase list go in a different thing (like an envelope up till now).


So yes, dramatic changes going on, lots of work but lots of fun.

TGIF!

I'm so happy its friday!! I have more than half of my list crossed off and I'm getting ready to go to the grocery store and kill Fry's with my coupons that coincide with their sales. I am in the process of trying to become a coupon DIVA. Its a bit of a process but I' m getting the hang of it. And I'm excited to do some furniture refinishing this weekend too. Oh yeah, and make popcorn :D I'll for sure post pictures of my furniture projects. Fun Times :D

Aftermath

What do I dislike most about having an out-of-my-mind busy 4-5 day stretch?? The fallout! I can't pull myself together this week!! Today is the day though. Dayton went for a playdate before school (thanks Rachelle!!!).......so I have exactly 4 hours till the kids get home. Just because I put on workout clothes,dosen't get my workout done. Just because my vacuum is out, dosen't get my house clean. I AM getting it done, and then I can get some other projects done the rest of the week. I need positive and productive vibes!!!

Another week, another weekend

Wow this week was hectic. SO crazy. We ordered our first batch of popcorn from Vegas (not the Cinnful corn.....its still in production ;) but they have some other yummy stuff we ordered. Problem being getting it here in time.....within budget, which didn't include overnight shipping of 6 cases. So to get it here by this weekend.........meant a pickup-in Vegas-by me. So dinner in the crockpot, kids off to school, and off I go. To Vegas. And back. That was Thursday. It was a looooong drive. But it was worth it because we were able to get out and get a bunch sold this weekend. I really needed Friday to recover, but I had another super long busy day friday with Dayton getting sick (ear infection) 3 visiting teaching appointments, Cade's campout, Sadies sleepover, Hair for my SIL and nephew and dinner to take in for a lady (and 15 family members) in our ward who's husband died. And then my dads fiddle kids (about 8 girls) were coming to stay the night for a fiddle festival. They were good girls and had a lot of fun. All the kids were gone all night (little boys at the neighbors for a sleepover) so Mark and I went to a movie. Anyway, friday was a SUPER long day. As long and stressful as it was, my heart goes out to the young family who lost their husband/father, and I could hardly feel sorry for myself knowing what they were going through, even though I'd never met them. When I dropped off the food the adults were at the viewing. That'll give ya some perspective, huh?

Then Saturday I had to pick up Sadie in Chandler from her fun sleepover and then out to where Kevin (our business partner) was out selling. I would have helped him more but it was kind of a one-man show and he was doing a great job. I was back and forth there all day and then we had to get ready for the UFC party. By this time I was totally wiped out. Of course I completely crashed right as the Penn/GSP fight started but I was so tired it was painful. Sunday was nice and normal, and our neighbors had us over to watch the Cards almost win on their big screen and had lots of delicious food so that was fun. And how enjoyable was a whole HOUR of the office?? Loved it!!!
