Arrrrr, Matey!

Today I decorated Coopers teachers door at school. It was actually a fun and creative thing to do, I say that now because I mostly liked how it turned out. LOL I made the treasure chest out of a cereal box so it's 3-D and the gold "coins" each have the kids names. My main concern is sturdiness, I have no clue if this stuff will even stay on for an entire week of opening/closing, and random kids walking by who could pick stuff off. She really liked it, that was the most important part, right? There were a lot of cute doors, and as I was slaving away with my aim-a-flame, paintbrush and sharpie, the mom next to me unrolls this adorable already assembled tree/beehive door cover that she made at home and just had to stick the bees the kids made onto it, and presto. Mine took me like an hour and a half. Then I pass by Wyatts class door and every kid had a purple tulip with their name and a picture on it.....except my kid. Where was I?? I feel bad, I guess I missed the memo. I wonder if the room mom will notice if I make my own purple tulip and put one together of him and just stick it on?? I asked him if he knew about it, he didn't know what I was talking about. Wierd.

Anyway, I'm gonna have to keep checking up on the door to make sure everything stays attached. And the door across the hall has the same "we treasure you" thing going on, but oh well, they look very different so its ok. But what are the odds?? Hey, I never claimed to be original!! LOL
I had the privilege of going to the scrapbook store and using their computer machine to make these letters. Was it a cricut or a Sizzix......something but whatever it is I MUST have one!!!
Weekend outlook: fairly calm, 2 extras sleeping over tonight but Cade's on a campout, tomorrow its CLEANING DAY!! Sunday: complete relaxation and vegetation.

new post

I've been a bad girl and have been playing on the computer all day. Its for a pretty good cause though, I made an awesome slideshow of pictures of Mark and I from the time we started dating till now. He dosen't know about it yet. I can't decided if I should save it for his birthday or what. I really should save it till our anniversary but that is WAY to long to wait. I'll probably just blow it and show him tonight when he gets home. It turned out awesome. I can't get it hosted because it is too long (I didn't realize we had so many pics of us in 13 years!) so I can't post it. I tried putting it on youtube even but I can't do that either. Oh well. Anyway, take my word for it, its cool and he will like it. I guess it was worth the 4-5 hours I spent scanning and transferring. :D

On Saturday we went to the pool at the gym for the first time. It was great. The kids had fun and let me relax, and a couple of their friends showed up which is always nice.

Last night for FHE we got to go to the Rogers and play their Wii. It was so spiritual, I can't even tell you! LOL I'm just kidding, we had a great time and the kids had a ball too. Now of course we have to get a Wii. Its so fun to have the kids doing something together and having fun. Anything that promotes family togetherness has to be a good thing. Thanks Rogers!!!

Upcoming projects:

1.Teacher appreciation week at school next week. I have to decorate Coopers class door on Friday and come up with good gifts, and I'm feeling the pressure. I think I have my fantastic ideas together, but as usual its the execution of these great ideas that worries me.

2.Sadie's 10th birthday party luau.
It looks like it will fall the night of our father/sons campout, so thats a big bonus. I can't believe its time to get this put together, that means school is almost done!

3. Dinner tonight: I grilled some chicken and I'm going to chop it up and put it with some pasta, alfredo sauce (diluted a bit with milk) and chopped broccoli. I've never made this for the family before so i'm hoping it turns out. Actually some sundried tomatoes are sounding like a pretty good addition, I may have to run and get some.

wondering

How can it be that I am SO bored when there is so much I should be doing? I just dont want to do any of the things I am supposed to be doing I guess. And nothing exciting is going on. Hopefully I'll have something fun to blog about in the next couple of weeks.

TV post

No big surprise on AI last night. Everyone knows its not always the ones with the very best voice that wins, its a personality contest too. Carly just never really showed any personal side of herself that much. She always had such pretty eye makeup though. :D The final finale of Rock of Love was this week. Yes I watch that trash. Choosing Amber was a no-brainer. I give it a year. Once they realize that one of them would have to cut back their travelling career to be together, they'll end up just friends. I'm also watching I Know my Kid's a Star, which could also be titled "I know my moms a psycho". And Danny Bonaduce is the one and only judge?? Ummmm, OK. I am also getting into Step it up and Dance on Bravo. I'm not sure about Jesse, I mean Elizabeth Berkely as the host, she seems really wierd and dosen't really do much for the show but whatever I have really been likin it. Mabye because one of the best ones is named Janelle, I might be a little biased. LOL Just kidding. These shows I just catch during the week on replays during the day. I DVR them and watch at random. LOVE DVR. Dancing with the stars I am only partly watching, I have no idea whay I can't be in love with that show. I watch the performance night, then I just find out who gets kicked off and fast forward through the scoring. That way I know sort of what is going on but don't devote tooo much time to it.

And on to the REAL shows.....I LOVE Thursday night. We have a new Office, 30 Rock (I'm a huge Kenneth fan) Survivor (only partly watching it, especially now that Ozzy is off) and of COURSE...LOST is back tonight. I couldn't resist going online to see the spoiler clips. Whooooooo it looks so good. Love love love it.
